Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 28/01/2026Comm for @budderscotch.bsky.social of their oc Xoe Nuklious! I had a lot of fun brainstorming how to adapt him into my style of painting and picking a mood for the background. :> I used mostly Holbein watercolors and a bit of Sakura Koi paints. #watercolor #comm #commission #traditionalart 094
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 15/01/2026I had drawn this pose after learning that NiGHTS was initially somewhat rude to Elliot in "Flying Through The Sky Without Wings." In my head I imagined NiGHTS laughing and teasing hesitant visitors lol 110
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 14/01/2026If you want to expand your color palette, or have experience in other mediums and want to try watercolor, I would suggest this palette. I'd argue this is also a good affordable beginner palette as well, the only downside is there's no individual refills. Paul Rubens does sell their own tubes tho 000
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 14/01/2026These paints are a joy to work with if you really crave convenience mixes with delicious pigmentation. If you're really good at putting paint to canvas/paper it might look like ink imo. when it's applied well it almost makes me think of alcohol ink. 100
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 14/01/2026killing time with some watercolors and my favorite character, NiGHTS. i used a water brush so it's a bit patchy and cauliflowery, but im glad i just put color to this sketch. watercolors used are Paul Rubens' MeiLiang set of 36 colors. #nightsintodreams #watercolor #sega Thoughts on the paints ⬇️ 2166
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 15/12/2025I initially wanted to draw Satori Komeiji but freehanding in pen sometimes leads to different paths lol. I think I subconsciously projected her color palette onto the drawing with the pink hair and teal clothes. 000

Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 04/11/2025Sona profile picture for my boyfriend, @heavenstriker.bsky.social . I've done anthro study sketches but this is my first "finished" art of one. Feedback or neat learning resources would be appreciated! :) #digitalart #anthro 051

Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 18/07/2025i feel like my brain just, completely out of nowhere, decided that whenever i sketch i should consider the form of the object and hatch along with it. I've never done this until recently. im scared. where did you come from, o wise idea? shout out to the art wizard planting thoughts in my brain 🫶 000
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 13/07/2025Oh i forgot to say these were all referenced!! I've never drawn tf2 characters before lol. It was really interesting studying(?) them because it helped me break away from my Loomis brain. The mercs' faces are *pretty long* especially where the philtrum would be + their jaws are pretty prominent! 000
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 13/07/2025Thank you! I'm a firm believer that the way artists approach how to use their supplies matters more than the quality of said supplies. I know a lot of people believe this too but practicing this belief makes art feel more experimental and playful! :) 010
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 13/07/2025Also, yes, *everything* was done in that pen. My pen is so old that one side got white gel pen ink clogged so it makes fine scratchy lines. The pen is also DRY (the poor thing..) it's been with me since.....around 2014...The soft smudgy look is so neat though lol 100
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 13/07/2025Multiple Merc Mugs! I wanted to draw my most played Team Fortress 2 Characters in a 1.0 Micron Pen to challenge myself to not use guidelines for faces and to try not to draw shapes overlapping other shapes. #art #tf2 2326
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 12/07/2025In the future, I kinda wanna post swatches of art supplies i own. Yeah some of these I've had for several years but i wanna do it in case there's people out there like me who look at swatch sheets and go "ooo i wanna eat those colors" 000
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 12/07/2025I think the thing stopping me from beating the Roaring Knight in Deltarune is the fact I haven't tried praying before attempting another run. or holding something green for a moment (buffs my luck stat) 020

Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 17/03/2025My finished piece for advanced drawing! I never got around to posting it so it's been about 2 weeks already. I had to title it for class, so I titled it "Regret, Ruminate, Repeat" to paint the idea that the individual is experiencing a thinking loop. #art #traditionalart #colorpencil 050
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 05/02/2025That being said, they're like 4 bucks for a pack of 36? They're nice for when you really wanna work with color and you have expensive supplies laying around but don't really wanna use them for something like studies or sketches. In fact, I've been drawing a little more because I have cheap supplies 010
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 05/02/2025My takeaway from using these pencils is due to the fact they have less pigment than binders/wax they're ideal for light sketches or low contrast lighting. Maybe paper quality is a factor as well but trying to layer will cause a waxy buildup that makes it harder to work with. 210
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 05/02/2025Study of "Vedova (Atte)" By Adolfo Wildt using Crayola color pencils. This was kind of a stress test because I want to see how far I can go with these pencils. My paper was also pretty overworked but it's cheap too lol. #traditionalart #art 121
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 03/02/2025The person in the reference photo appears to be named Nassia Matsa by the way! according to google lens at least... And also in case anybody is like, hey what a funky pencil, it's a Crayola Swirl color pencil. Kinda like cheap Koh-i-noor tri tone pencils. I plan to use them more :3 000
Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 03/02/2025Exercise I did where I drew for 5, 15, and 30 minutes with the same reference. I tried to focus on placement of the eyes/nose/mouth the most. Pretty fun! :D If you feel you want to see some immediate improvement and are willing to spend some time I highly suggest this exercise. 🦭 #sketch #art 151

Virixie @virixie.bsky.social · 03/12/2024Just like @heavenstriker.bsky.social , West Ronfaure left a pretty big impact on me. FFXI was the first MMORPG I played on my crappy laptop around 2017 and I'll never forget the joy of levelling with him for the first time. At the time, it felt like I had just been shown a whole new world of games. 040
Reposted by Virixiewarmblanket @heavenstriker.vanadiel.network · 25/11/2024Want to highlight the official install guide for FFXI.
