Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 22/07/2025Vantastic !! Subsequent Supervans just aren't as daft or as interesting, even if they have much better machines underneath. 022 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 15/07/2025I've heard it referred to as the flying arsehole which is even worse ! 010 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 15/07/2025Yeah - much like the Steve Martin remake of the Pink Panther which I wanted to hate and ended up liking as it was a reimagining instead of a modern clone, I'm hoping this is along the same lines. 010 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 07/06/2025Lemon curd donut (yes, donut not doughnut as it's 'Merican) while welding. Maaaarvelous. 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 22/04/2025I blame the NCAP ratings. Prior to 1996/7 small, light, & nimble were lauded. Then they were castigated as unsafe and the charge towards 2 ton SUVs began. Imagine modern engine technology in a small light car - 100mph or more I'd guess... 120 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 15/04/2025Ben Edwards & John Watson at the weekend were dynamite - far better than all current lineups. 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 13/04/2025I'm guessing we've missed each other again by mere inches 😂 010 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 01/04/2025Shamefully have to agree... We had one at least once, possibly twice, and it wasn't hateful just not brilliant. 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 26/03/2025Unpopular opinion, but the Plymouth Neon I had as a US hire car in 2000 remains one of the best hire cars I've had over there. 100 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 22/03/2025Damn & Blast ! I'm working on Weds 🤬 Looking at maybe popping down 1st/2nd for Members testing though. 110 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 03/03/2025#MiniMonday A quick trip to the garden centre over the weekend in the Hornetto proved that obesity is real. 042 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 27/02/2025No, I'm elsewhere in the fleet. 37s were used up till relatively recently (I thought they still were in service) so I'll ask my train-obsessed friend when they went. 010 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 21/02/2025DRS have upgraded/downgraded from 37s I see. Train driving is part of the job at Heysham & Hartlepool ! 110 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 13/02/2025There's one over here too, which did the St Mary's a few times. 020 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 10/02/2025Yes, the middle car on #minimonday is a smidge down on its springs... theres 8 people in it ! 040 0

Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 03/02/2025It's #minimonday again ! One of these is now a famous racing car, the other is still waiting for some love... 040 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 03/02/2025I'd argue that the Tony Gaze building that houses the Competitions department at Goodwood, and a race there named after the man who brought racing to the airfield is probably his most people remember him now. 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Today, I are mainly visiting local places 3000 miles away 😂 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 31/01/2025When it's -6° and snowy, what else is there to do but eat ice cream st the factory shop ? 000 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 29/01/2025And of all my old cars I'd have that Metro back in a heartbeat, ahead of the MG ZS 180 and the MG ZT-T 260 ! (Yes, the one with the Mustang engine) 100 0

Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Cheltenham to Launceston is 2 hours 30 according to Google. In a Metro GTi in '98 that was done in 1 hour 46 min. My brothers flat in Finsbury Park to Nam was exactly 100 miles, and the target was 100 mins. Closest either of us got was me with 104 mins. Exactly none of this would be possible now. 220 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 29/01/2025May have been on display in the GRRC enclosure then, as there were usually a handful of Academy cars in there. 010 0

Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 29/01/2025Which year & meeting was that ? The Academy cars have Panhard Rods but the Speedwell cars tend to run A-frames as they're better. 100 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 28/01/2025Wolseley. That would probably have been Ben you were chatting to. I had a crawl over & under it too with an eye to changing mind to Speedwell spec. 100 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 28/01/2025Back in 2019 Dario Franchitti needed to do a couple of laps behind the safety car to be allowed to start in the 250SWB as he'd missed practice. Having finished the Hornetto in the campsite, this was it being run in ! 110 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 27/01/2025That's a really unusual intake shape ! I get 90bhp from my bog-std MPi casting with big valves (rules don't allow any porting). 110 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 27/01/2025Oh yeah, it's #minimonday 🤠 Or in this case, the booted cousins. 1185 0
Alex @vipernoir.bsky.social · 24/01/2025My friend Paul is looking for his old car. Last MoT'd in Nov 2021, he's hoping it's languishing in a garage somewhere. Last known sale was to someone in Swindon. Any info greatly appreciated. 065 0
