Did a write up on Night Tapes' debut album "portals//polarities" for the one year anniversary! Was huge on this album and consider it my favorite from 2025, I still don't think I could ever say enough about it. Check it out here: violetsights.neocities.org/thoughts/mus... #nighttapes #dreampop

dev lemons wins album title of the year for me I think because "hunting what we already killed" goes unbelievably hard also, the three singles were really good so I'm stoked for the full album this week!

For the last couple of months I've been writing poetry again after taking a long break from any form of creative writing and it's been a fairly cathartic experience. Not sure why I haven't been posting them here... This is the first of them. #poetry #creativewriting #abstract #cyberpunk

A poem with text colored purple, with a backdrop of New York City from a hotel view at night in 2016. The text reads as follows:

Neon hues.

A deep violet stretching from my eyes to the horizon, the faint hum of a synthetic warmth in patterns
Cyclic by nature, created for machines

What can become a machine through time?

Digital monoliths and memorials, letters and numbers
Pressed into wiring - built for moments, not for millennia, yet just as everlasting

Insistent, a glow that exists as a reminder and a stimulant
Designed for an eternity it can’t remember
Fading just as we settle back into moonlight

When even dust no longer remains, can new hands that build faux lights hold us as gently as they did then?

Looking at pictures of Artemis II and then going to see Project Hail Mary was an emotional one-two punch I did not know I was getting myself into but damn the universe really is so unbelievably beautiful and amazing

Figures as I was getting so close to finishing this project I'd get so sick it incapacitates me... T_T Anyways, hi all! I've been working on a website! Once I'm done being sick I'll be putting the finishing touches on it and launching it - it'll be a place for a lot more in-depth content! 💜

As much as I want to do more streams again after so many months, I'm at a point where I need to upgrade my PC before I feel like I can reliably do that - I've been having a plethora of tech issues and it's been such a motivation killer.

Today marks 6 years since my grandmother's passing - the woman who took me in and raised me on nothing, who taught me the values that I still hold today, who taught me how to enjoy my life again when up to that point I really just knew how to survive.
