![No Crown, No Throne (The June 14th Cry)
Sunrise on the fourteenth day, a shadow starts to creep
Whispers turn to thunder where promises don't keep
They talk of kings and loyalty, of power held by one
But the people feel the warning, 'neath this burning summer sun
A hand that grabs the ballot box, the courts it dares defy /
A poison in the body where true freedom used to lie
They call it strength, they call it right, but we know what they mean:
The crushing boot of fascism, a cruel and deadly scene.
[CHORUS]
NO CROWN! NO THRONE!
We stand for rights the people own!
No king above the law we make,
No tyrant for democracy's sake!
From sea to sea, in every town,
We'll tear that fascist vision down!
NO KINGS! HEAR OUR VOICE!
The people's will is still the choice!
[VERSE 2]
They dream of Project 2025,
a future grim and stark
Where only certain voices matter,
leaving freedom in the dark
Where history gets rewritten,
where difference is a crime
Where justice bends to power,
ignoring space and time.
But look around you, sisters, brothers, standing side-by-side
The teachers, vets, the workers, with nowhere left to hide
The students and the elders, every color, every creed
Refuse to let the dream die, plant a different kind of seed.
[CHORUS]
NO CROWN! NO THRONE!
We stand for rights the people own!
No king above the law we make,
No tyrant for democracy's sake!
From sea to sea, in every town,
We'll tear that fascist vision down!
NO KINGS! HEAR OUR VOICE!
The people's will is still the choice!
[BRIDGE]
This ain't about one party line, it cuts much deeper still
It's "Will the Constitution bend to one man's selfish will?"
It's "Will the vote still matter?" "Will the peaceful transfer hold?"
Or will the story of our freedom tragically unfold?
We stand on shoulders giants fought,
who pledged their lives, their all
For government of, by, for the people,
standing proud and tall!
This legacy is OURS to keep…
we will not let it fall!](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:hwnkjzofgaf24cyvvltuwqdz/bafkreih5mpxczx47x6tgdezca2blcatlvttrpebi4exyrxutcplybcsuoq)
![[Instrumental Break - Driving drums… guitar riff… energy builds for the final chorus]
[CHORUS]
NO CROWN! NO THRONE!
We stand for rights the people own!
No king above the law we make,
No tyrant for democracy's sake!
From sea to sea, in every town,
We'll tear that fascist vision down!
NO KINGS! HEAR OUR VOICE!
The people's will is still the choice!
[OUTRO]
No Kings! No Fear! Democracy is here!
No Kings! No Fear! Democracy is here!
No Kings! No Fear! Democracy is here!
