An unexpected birthday gift (and I’m purposefully making this post within the last few minutes left in my time zone)

I still can’t believe the ACNH update, looks like I’ll be returning to the game next year 👀

I went to see Ado live in Sydney and I’m still blown away by how amazing she is, credit to her for being able to keep up her vocals for each tour destination 😭 4th pic was originally my trading card, but I had it traded with a card collector for an omurice pic, at least I have the digital photo? 🥹

My favourite vocaloid producer is Harumaki Gohan, to translate it literally, it’s Spring Roll Rice in English. One of my favourite songs from him include an onigiri (rice ball) in its music video and it was mentioned it the lyrics. I knew I had to get this onigiri hug pillow 🍙

(And yes, I’m still alive and somewhat active here. I kinda limit my time with posting statuses, as well as it bringing back bad memories involving someone who’s no longer in my life, but I check when I can)

After months of waiting, I was able to see the proseka Miku movie’s first screening in Sydney! It was well worth the watch, laughter, and tears. There was a Kanade cosplayer to my left and a Toya cosplayer in front of me. It must be fate that two of my fav characters were near me 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Somebody yelled at me for posting about Ganymede instead of /the state of things/ last night. I know we’re (almost) all on the same page here, but a Bluesky without cute cats, science facts, and dumb jokes would be bad for everyone.

Ever since new year happened, I haven’t slept since last year 🥲 Not on purpose though, my insomnia is that bad, and I’ll probs stay up the rest of the day 😫 Happy New Year folks

It's now past midnight and the 31st for me, so I can say WTF and HOW DID THE TIME PASS SO QUICKLY? 😫

Violet Lights @violetlights.bsky.social · 13/12/2024

Not me sending a new mutual (from a random work shift) a message, at nearly 3am, cause I was connecting the dots on when her birthday was and it might be on the same day as mine 😭 Please, cause I never met anyone who shares the same birthday as me LHGJFKHLHJFKJLH

After having penguins ruined for me because of a toxic person in my life, I’ve been trying to find ways to like them again without the negative connection to said person. Slowly, but surely. I refuse to let the things I love be tainted cause of bad memories, but it’ll be a slow process

It's too often I'll be in the middle of doing something, have an idea, but once I finish what I was doing I completely forgot what my idea was. Sitting here feeling empty-headed rn, my brain not computing 😵‍💫

What does it mean to have a single strand of grey hair to fall off in front of you? How ominous 🤔

As much as I like opening up this app so much more in comparison to another app, I still feel somewhat tense with posting for some reason, also cause I ramble once I do think of something. However I do feel more at ease here, and it doesn’t feel so triggering when looking at my timeline 😶

So… has anyone ever unintentionally pulled an all-nighter before work? I’ve done it before, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I do it again, cause it’s so hot here and I’m overthinking. My sleep schedule is so messed up 🫠

I start my first work shift around cardboard boxes, guess who got a paper-cut on the first/second cardboard box? This loser. I need to be wrapped in a bubble wrap for the rest of my life, why am I like this...?

Miku expo in a day… I’m so nervous, yet excited (Also praying the Sydney crowd will do the calls and chants 🙏)

Violet Lights @violetlights.bsky.social · 18/11/2024

It feels weird to still get notifications for a post that I made here, definitely my most interacted one. But I’m not complaining, it feels really nice to get this love (unlike a certain other platform but ya know… 🫢)

Finally I have decided on my design for my ita bag! I did my best with trying to fit the can badges and keychains 😅 So excited for Miku Expo! And yes, I must include Harumaki Gohan merch to prove my love for his music, still fits the vocaloid theme 😌

For anyone who grieves while looking at world events and is asking "What do I do now?", the answer is "the things that are worth doing". There is reason for despair, but there is always reason for hope. Do good things.

I think I would start using (and remembering) to use this platform more if only more people I know have an account here, and more friends too. It feels a bit lonely when I check it
