Agreed on all points. I do fixes and minor updates for free. Unfortunately, people don't always care if revamps are entirely new mesh, textures, scripts, etc. of ancient products, especially if they have a functioning old version

040

Gwen Ghostly | Violetility @violetility.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

I love remaking old things, but factors like previously selling them individually, changing naming, etc. get in the way of updates. Should we profit from a remade product? Yes, but some say free updates are the right thing. I use weekend sales as a middle ground. But I also know that's not the norm

A toggle would be handy, but fixes so everyone can enjoy PBR would be ideal. I think they'll get there, just like mesh and Bento. I still remember buying the first Bento head and wearing a prim with a picture of the head slapped on it since many people couldn't see it yet

Did you know you can use boolean searches on the marketplace? AND, OR, and NOT all work, and you can combine them in any way you want. Here are some tips for how to use them to make more efficient searches! #secondlife #SL

Using Boolean Operators on the SL Marketplace:
Use ‘AND’ to search for keywords you want all of the results to include
IE: “coat AND reborn”
Use ‘OR’ to add related keywords to a search to expand your results
IE: “cyberpunk OR sci-fi”
You can also use ‘OR’ to combine less-related keywords for times when you’re exploring your options
IE: “cottage OR cabin OR loft”
Use ‘NOT’ to exclude keywords from your search. This is especially helpful to filter out stores that are keyword spamming
IE: “top NOT storenamehere”
Combine as many keywords and operators as you like to tailor your search results to your needs!
IE: “cocktail OR formal AND reborn NOT glitter”

The majority of people who came here have to unlearn the abusive tactics that Twitter instilled in them. Posting links and flagging your sensitive/nsfw does NOT suppress your reach here! Additionally using hashtags is great for visibility here - you can search them per user or for the whole site!
