So no GDC for me this year. And no other US events either. I’ll miss people. I’ll miss running into friends and meeting new peers. But I’m not going to pretend this is normal, and I’m not going to normalize an industry culture that quietly expects everyone to take the same “professional risk”.

That isn’t “politics I disagree with.” It’s an escalation of state power and intimidation, and it directly affects who gets to move safely through borders and who doesn’t. For many people this was never safe to begin with. What’s changed is how aggressively it’s being normalized.
