was considering full sporter but idk i like the mauser look. Something like first pic could work, its a normal m96 with the stock cut like a cg63.

FUCk it. Gonna order a 2nd chilean mauser stock while apex still has em cheap. i hate that the swedish stock on mauser español bothers me, things a frankenmauser sporter.... i just want it to look spanish (and chilean stocks are identical)

If you try to ignore the extreme cloudiness, glass clarity is straight up better than my 80s Simmons. but god the tradeoff they made on all of this is that fucking eyebox, i dont think ill ever mount it. Could clean it up and sell it but its a cool scope ngl

i dont know when this pan-tech ad is from but if its 50s or 60s then its about a fifth the price of my nice kahles not bad really, its god awful with the worst eyebox ive looked through but Jesus Christ i paid $1 for a trashed rusty example and it still works.

Its at the tier where it looks good unless youre A/B testing but the s&b 6x and kahles 4x i literally cannot tell the difference in glass quality, both are better than my eyes

ok looking outside the window from an angle i can actually see shit better, Bausch & Lomb glass is a step down from the Austro-germanics (kahles, s&b, zeiss) Bit less light transmission and a subtle tint, i rank it as just below the (30yrs newer) Russian kronos. Not bad.

HOLY SHid one mixed lot from local auctions. DWM 7mm mauser, pre-spitzer. Only 2rd but my mausers are both Loewe (renamed DWM in 1896 since Ludwig Loewe was Soros if he owned Raytheon) Also some 303 British i cant use and was too slow to photograph the bug taste testing

huge progress on german claw bases. need to work on looks + make the claws for s&b before ordering metal prints, but its actually functional

the hard part is the front claw still in the pic is fucking stuck and i had to drill the rear one out.... and said 2 piece windage adjustable rear claw, i dont know how the fuck they got this stuck but it doesnt come in 2 Not even with the screws holding it together taken out.

It is however a 6x42 and the claws from the other pictured s&b are *x36. So wont be a plug and play install as i was hoping, but, the rear claw is windage adjustable. Should be able to metal print a spacer.

le $50 "noris" schmidt & bender arrived. perfect condition, first scope ive bought with zero problems. the glass is fantastic, it might be on par with the kahles tbh. Which would indicate the other s&b is only worse due to complexity of variable magnification (fancy at the time)

picked up some cheap oigee lens covers but the ebay seller measured them wrong and theyre useless it'd be fine if they didnt look so damn good but no, they are nice, they make the repros look trash.

printed scope ring spacers might actually work. Had to sand quite a bit, wish I could resin print. I've utilized the bit of integral rail i left on scope + a channel at bottom of claw, its actually nice, they keep in place tightening down.

I didnt notice until i spend this morning getting it all sanded and nice then i tested and the thing slips off your shoulder its so rear heavy. printing a much lightened decorative spacer, that bit is a must for good looks. Buttpad, maybe PLA isnt even the best material honestly

buttpad status PRINTED gonna suck making it look good but the ergo is on point, sits nice in your shoulder and gives proper eye relief. Length of pull is absurd but that doesnt matter so much on a bipod.

check this out. printed a little thing that slips in to lessen the gap. big improvement imo especially once i get the printed pad, that'll have the buttpad sticking out even further back.

There's an annoying amount of precision required because the scope doesn't have windage adjustment. if it doesnt work i might have to do something a bit sus. Like printed spacers, or printed scaffolding which then gets filled with epoxy.

i have an idea for 30mm to 28mm scope ring spacers for g3SG/1 clone. 1mm brass sheet, then instead of doing top halves and bottom halves its 1 piece per ring. Let tightening the screws handle fully bending it.
