I miss them so much, you have no idea!!!

Good news for the Diakko fam: I finished writing the next 3 Days (or chapters) of the week. Only one more to go to have a whole week this time but I can already start working on the layout so hang in there a little bit more.

I already became That Teacher in my school but it has worked making it almost a meme so they remember and consider it important lmao

This looks so very lovely! Love the colors and atmosphere. May I ask what’s the typeface name too? It compliments the art style so well.

For sure, I bet they made everything carefully and with expertise, no doubt. They’ve been doing for a long while, so I trust them.

And sorry, no, I don’t wish to bring discourse anywhere! Let it stay hidden and rotting in a corner!!

Maria • CANTALAGUA 🌱 @vinzul.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I mean, sure, it would’ve been wonderful having a trillion dollar budget but limited animation doesn’t make a good show instantly. I vastly prefer this to automatization in that other way.

It hurts my spirit so much, nothing will compare with your imagination and that’s a good thing!! You can be surprised that way.

Seven Havens, the new Avatar series 🙈 people can have opinions absolutely but they all just seem so superficial and entitled.

Maria • CANTALAGUA 🌱 @vinzul.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Haven’t watched 7H yet (i will later today!) but frustrated at audiences being so entitled more and more. Only interested in stuff they already made up their mind about or them being exactly how they personally wish. Without understanding how stuff works and then lashing out against creators.

I finally received the WT Canvas “wonderful offer” to translate Song for Cantalagua using their advanced ai translation technology so this is a wonderful time to remind you Cantalagua is ALREADY available in Spanish since that’s my native language anyway! Needless to say, fuck ai, pay translators.

The Tapas announcement hit us hard, not only are we losing a lovely community we had over there but it was also the biggest place we earned a revenue from thanks to that community. But I was almost in tears saving each comment we had over the years over there. Thanks to everyone who read us there.

This is so awesome! I searched for mine and there it was ;A;! Thank you so much for this!! Oh but is there a way to offer some feedback? There seems to be another different comic but with an incorrect summary (because it mentions my characters and setting) so there might be a mistake in the entry!

Once again reading the themes so well? Hahaha at this point it’s a vicious cycle: water left, people used the empty space, rinse and repeat. In the end, people forget they even were there for a reason. It’s not a coincidence my country is Mexico!

A little reminder. #art #illustration

A digital drawing with smaller panels inside of which are different labdscapes, and on top is the text ”as I watch the trees prepare for a season of rest I am reminded that I can do that too”, the landscapes feature mushrooms, hills, a lighthouse and flowers.

We creators could quite literally never write anything “better” then whatever an individual has in their own head with their own tastes and their own opinions. I think the sooner people realize that the sooner they can just enjoy what media exists as it is from the mind of someone else. 🥰

I wanted to go see it on Friday but there were no screenings after 2pm in most places I looked. Because of work I couldn’t make it, I’ve never seen them do that to such a new film.

Oof yeah. A few years ago I almost got ran over a motorcycle that was driving ON the sidewalk. I got distracted for a second and when I looked up they were already on me. It’s scary, take a nice beverage for the nerves

I’ve always wanted to know, which platform or place would you recommend for a comic portfolio? Stuff like Artstation or even Behance seems focused on other kinds of artworks.
