My 10:16 Saturday morning vinyl is "Don Cornelius Presents The Soul Train Gang" which was a group created to promote the "Soul Train/Solar Records" label. The album was co-produced by Dick Griffey who later became the president of Solar Records. Don Cornelius also contributes his voice on a track.

My 6:14 Wednesday afternoon vinyl is the 1968 release "Fresh Cream" by Cream. Their cover of Muddy Waters' "Rollin And Tumblin" is just the ultimate in dynamic energy. They're practically bashing this blues song with punk rock energy.

My 4:24 Wednesday afternoon vinyl is once again the "Drive" soundtrack by Cliff Martinez. I can play this excellent soundtrack to death. I should watch the film someday because the last time that I saw it was when it was at the theater.

My 12:42 Sunday afternoon and final vinyl for today is "Three Of A Perfect Pair" by King Crimson. Tony Levin's bass line on "Sleepless" is one of the best I've ever heard.

My 12:12 Sunday afternoon vinyl is "Bikini Wax" by Killer Pussy. I have no idea what this album sounds like because I bought it because of the cover, band name and song titles. Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice when you're record hunting and see what happens.

Its 10:58 on a Sunday morning and its time for some soulful blues with "Waiting For Little Milton" by Little Milton. I just love this Stax recording and I absolutely love the couch on the album cover.

I'm up with a cup of coffee on a Sunday at 4:49 AM. Perfect time to play my "Champagne Music Varieties" box set by Lawrence Welk. I used to love watching his show when I was a kid.

My 12:04 Saturday afternoon vinyl is "Moving Waves" from the Dutch band Focus. Their song "Hocus Pocus" was used in an intense shootout scene in the film "Baby Driver" which turned me onto the band.

My 11:36 vinyl is the "Staying Alive" soundtrack that contains the cult hit "Far From Over" by Frank Stallone. I shouldn't call it a cult hit because I've never met anyone who doesn't get pumped up when they hear that song come on in their life.

My 11:00 Saturday morning vinyl is "Beatles For Sale" by The Beatles who never made a bad album when they existed. Some songs you like more than others but all their albums were solid. That's why they're my second favorite group of all time.

My 10:15 Saturday morning vinyl is "Bumpin'" by Wes Montgomery who is just the master of jazz guitar. He had the perfect tone and technique. He developed his finger picking technique soft tone because he would practice late at night and didn't want to wake up his wife.

My 3:22 Friday afternoon vinyl is the extremely overlooked "Superheavy" album which was a one off project from Singers Mick Jagger and Joss Stone along with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Bollywood music composer A.R. Rahman. Too bad they only made one album.

My 10:26 Sunday morning vinyl as I read the directions to the new punch button front door lock is "30 Greatest Hits" by Aretha Franklin. I am bummed that they don't credit the musicians on the tracks. Just the writers, producers and chart dates are mentioned.

My 4:54 Saturday afternoon vinyl was the absolutely brilliant 1989 debut from "The Buck Pets". This band should've been huge but they pre-dated Nirvana by 4 years and this band deserves some credit.
