It's neat seeing a Final Fantasy VII ad from back when it was just the new Final Fantasy game and not the cultural behemoth with its own spinoffs, sequels, prequels, movies, remakes, spinoffs from remakes, ect. (Final Fantasy VII, 1997)
Final Fantasy VII ad featuring an aerial shot of Midgar with the text "It's to a human what headlights are to a deer."

Every "new" "Tobacco is whacko (if you're a teen)" ad I find makes me more convinced it's supposed to be a reverse psychology thing. (anti-smoking ad paid for by a tobacco company, 2000)

That (if you're a teen) bit at the end seems a little out of nowhere until you see who sponsored this. (double faced smoking PSA, 2000)

Long love apple and cherry! (Hostess Fruit Pies, circa 1977)
Panel one: Batman villain The Penguin has living cuckoo clocks causing havoc saying "fly, you cuckoos, fly! With my umbrella directing you to rob, pillage, peck, and annoy, we'll soon have 'em all cuckoo. Then I'll take over the whole city."

Panel two: The Penguin with one of the living clocks. The clock says "Well, Penguin, I guess we'll feather our nests after this." The Penguin replies "We? What we? The Penguin is never a 'we'. It is I who shall profit most handsomely from this Caper. If you think you're on the same plane as me, you must be a cuckoo, cuckoo."

Panel three: Cop 1: "there's gotta be a way to stop these vultures. I know--hey, you birds! Look! Delicious Hostess® fruit pies..."
Penguin: "No! No!! Not real fruit filling!! Tender, light crust!! Luscious apple and cherry! My clocks are not that cuckoo that they'd pass up delicious Hostess Fruit Pies!"
Cop 2: "That's right! They'd even desert you, Penguin, for law, order, apple, and cherry!"

Panel four: The Penguin has been arrested as three on-lookers say "We're crazy about Hostess Fruit Pies! Long live apple and cherry!"

An ad that screams "we want to keep riding the massive wave of publicity we got from ET, but we don't want to actually bother to license ET." (Reese's Pieces, 1985)
"Etagramulfabetz" (the taste that's out of this world.)
