This is such a good listen. A great collection of original uplifting and highly camo in places songs. Oh yeah, one of the songs is mine too. Come on and take a listen and have a giggle at some of the cleverly written songs by some of the Popgays. Mine isn’t clever!

Well, I watched Sleepaway Camp early 80s teen horror as last saw it as a wee lad in the 80s. It’s classic bad acting but most. We’re back then. Compelling to watch & I enjoyed it especially the twist at the end. I need to watch more wakey 89s horror

Overjoyed that #Wham #LastChristmas has secured the Xmas no1 for a second time. True masterpiece by a genius artist that is George Michael. Long may this continue to be the trend for years to come. Well done Lovelies!

Delighted Wham! Last Christmas has gone back to being the no. 1 single in the UK official chart. Well deserved and I hope it retains the Christmas no.1 status to commentate its 40th birthday. #LastChristmas

Delighted to have just received my order on all physical formats of Wham! Last Christmas. Beautifully packaged and the picture discs look gorgeous. The 2006 live version is simply stunning. Looking forward to the BBC doc tomorrow night. #LastChristmas

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Wish I was with my family in Queens, New York. Each year I’ve visited them for Thanksgiving has been the greatest experience. Perhaps next year x

1984 was not only my favourite year 4 music but the greatest year. With the mega success of Wham! Culture Club, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears all who went on 2 conquer the USA. Madonna & Prince and many more. Year ended with both Wham! & Band Aid at the top of the chart. Perfect!

Love ‘Alma’s Not Normal’ S02 on BBC. I roared at the line from Alma’s mum about her own mum, “think she’d be too tired to be a c*nt”. Sadly, amongst the great humour is the truth about the sad state of our mental health services and after care support. Things need to improve & give us more Alma too!

Here’s my original copy of Band Aid purchase on 1st day of release in 1984 before they had time to put the photo on the back. When I realised there was a version with the photo I purchased that too. Even the label on tbe record is different #BandAid40

Yay! I’ve joined Bluesky and it was easy for someone like em who just doesn’t fully understand these apps but thanks to the @popgays.bsky.social for their encouragement. If you don’t listen to their podcast then you’re missing out, as it is funny, educational (of sorts) & always interesting.
