Do you love comics AND laughing with your friends? Next Saturday, I am doing a reading with L.J. Baptiste and Sadie Saunders. I'm ecstatic to present "Come Undone", a trans comedy of errors about recovering from bottom surgery and getting high for the first time. Hope to see you in the audience <3

Understandable. The only reason I know is because of articles that were written at the time talking about the scene.

It's the only one of the new ones I haven't seen.

We'll know for sure it was lost when we start to see corporate arcologies and private armies masquerading as security teams... 😬

I think that's the first of the remake stuff- the 2013 film.

Just trying to get you to laugh- but also empathize with the same gif. 😅

I think I'm going to do the same when my daughter gets home.

This. I strongly believe a lot of men have no idea how often women contend with this, and how it can stunt their ambitions.

Looking for tips for managing autistic burnout, asking for a friend (no, seriously! I'm having trouble articulating to them how I manage my own.) This is for a fellow creative and comic artist, so please feel free to share your experiences ❤️ #autism #burnout #disability #artist #comics #comicoop

Been chatting with a friend this morning about how media consumption is overwhelming by design. This, coupled with the meaningless of choices, is a particularly cruel trap sprung on the neurodivergent. #choice paralysis

Did they produce a third season, or are you watching for the first time?🤔

I feel like the "unemployed in Greenland" line makes even more sense if he's a walrus. 🤔

I like Oscar Wilde for defining the boundaries myself - "All art is quite useless." As to craft, it does require skill - sometimes immensely so. So I think art needs little more than the human hand and the intent to make it.🤔

It reminds me of creepier conversations around "degenerate art"- which is probably why it pisses me off so much when I see it.

I try to think of that in terms of "art" and "successful art" when I see it, I guess? But I take your point. 🤔

Ted Closson @vinegartom.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

The "when we pay you for it, it isn't art anymore" argument is an attempt to strip art of cultural and visual power. It's bullshit and cowardice. See "Man at the Crossroads" by Diego Rivera and "The Cradle Will Rock" by Marc Blitzstein for a blow by blow of this exact conflict.

Good news is she'll do it for us one way or the other. 😬

I feel like the chain of ownership for that painting is a crime against everything that image is meant to stand for.

It appears it is only for.... mustelids?

Worse- it's cover for oligarchies, gerontocracies, and kakistocracies.

I'm not sure our 20 year old selves have a right to an opinion on anything we're currently enduring...🤔
