the forth one is really just limited by my own set limitations for what i want out of my own website(s), which ends up meaning "i could replicate x's style, but since x's style is meant for an actual major service and not a landing page, it wont translate and thus i dont want it"

your tag doesnt need the subdomain, but i can see the main pds instance working better on a subdomain if the main domain is being used currently. when i set up my pds i couldnt use main domain due to caddy conflicts so i wrote it to subdomain and it has worked way better.

Very true- most smaller towns (where a lot live) lack options that isnt straight up legacy or otherwise a bit silly to use in a town, and like, one cable and one ADSL (ATT) company. Anything else and you'll have to move or wait until your town finally decides maybe its time for fiber optics!
