Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 17/05/2026I run office of AI agents. Vibe coded apps and still don't see how AI will replace me. 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 18/02/2026#ASO is a strange world. I got ranked very popular keyword, and it only gave ~3 extra downloads per day #iOSDev 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 12/02/2026I started working on Apple Ads, and here's some interesting stuff I found. #iOSDev #AppleAds Organic install boosted because of Apple Search ads. Organic installs increased in a non-target country. 030
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 12/02/2026Sketch MCP is amazing for localizing screenshots #iOSDev 041
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 06/02/2026From all these agentic tools, I hate most that as an indie dev now I'm more of a marketing guy than a programmer 110
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 02/02/2026Sad truth If you are not running an A/B screenshot test. If you are not running a paywall or an onboarding A/B test. You should not work on new features. #iOSDev 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 14/01/2026I feel you. I'm working on a big release, and I'm in what stage if a task is longer than 5 min, it's going to the backlog. 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 04/01/2026In case of development simplicity I like hide double tap or long click on text to enable some features. Sometimes I will put them under # if DEBUG but in most cases it will be nice easter egg. 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 04/01/2026Nice demo. But I have a rule. If it's not a core mechanic UI element, don't put it on screen. So I doubt many people are switching between units. So this button can go under more menu. Or make a hidden feature with a long tap, and document it in the FAQ or somewhere else for power users to find. 110
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 18/12/2025Lithuania is using filibuster to stop takeover of national broadcaster, but somehow a cat named Nuodėgulis has got control. 🤣 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 27/11/2025I got my #trmnl dashboard. It's a simple but amazing device. Already created the #Linear plugin the next will be @revenuecat.com plugin. 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 23/11/2025What about re-regulation? Only few days ago I found out about eu-inc initiative and I was amazed about the possibilities it may open. 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 23/11/2025I self-hosted n8n. Now I have a problem finding what I want to automate in my life 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 23/11/2025This year, I will be skipping Indie App Sales, but I still recommend that all #iOSDev join and take advantage of the amazing promotion opportunity. 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 18/11/2025I can go with Firebase backend for an easy life, but no, I will go with Swift Vapor 😂 #iOSDev 161
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 16/11/2025Newborn is my new productivity hack. I never thought that with limited time, I would be more productive than ever. 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 07/11/2025I use the Things app to track my personal tasks. However, I often feel the need for a better app to simplify my personal life. I need: Things + house cleaning tracker + maintenance tracker + basic habit tracker. For some time, I have had an idea to try to build this app myself. 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 07/11/2025Also, they rework the tab system every time I feel like I've gotten used to it 🙃 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 06/11/2025Portable photo printer with Zink paper are awesome sticker maker 110
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 05/11/2025My iPhone soft locked because storage was full. Restarted device and got back about 40% of storage. I will blame this on dev life and Apple. 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Every year more and more people are migrating to VS Code, Neovim and Zed (newest direction I see) 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 14/10/2025As a newly father I can finally post for the US timezones 😂 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 13/10/2025I forgot about this problem. As a European developer, I had no choice not to deal with legal stuff. 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 13/10/2025Why are no worldwide release? I wanted to check if it can replace my google sheet for sub tracking 100
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 11/09/2025My guess. This place needed dimension validation, but the developer simply reused the existing screenshot validation code, which was deemed good enough. In his place, I will do the same because I'm also lazy 😂 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 08/08/2025It's iOS 26 Beta 5, and my search bar button still looks like this. 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 24/07/2025It's Beta 4 and I still don't have a working search field... I see only an empty button in the top toolbar. 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 27/06/2025I think the iOS beta version will be n times stable if Apple developers used the same API. Explain why my tabViewBottomAccessoryPlacement is not working, but Apple Podcast has a working version. 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 26/06/2025iOS 26 bugs reportedmedia.tenor.coma group of soldiers are standing in a row wearing helmets and armor .ALT: a group of soldiers are standing in a row wearing helmets and armor . 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 26/06/2025Will wait for beta 3 to see if the skill issue persists. 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 26/06/2025Working on updating my app for iOS 26. So every five minutes, I ask myself, is it an iOS bug or a skill issue? #iOSDev 130
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 19/06/2025Accessibility nutrition label gave me motivation to fix my app accessibility support. I thought my app had better dynamic type support... 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 15/06/2025For me, AlarmKit was an unexpected gift. I have the same idea as you and thinking try to do it in my free time. This app should not replace to-do app but will be a better solution to people who use clock app as to-do 😊 140
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 12/06/2025I'm interested in how cross-platform tools will handle Liquid Glass 🤔 050
Reposted by Vilius PRasmus Nielsen @rasmus.social · 12/06/2025Complete the look with a glass hammer... #wwdc25 #wwdc 1131
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 12/06/2025I think AlarmKit is a game-changer. My wife uses the clock app as a to-do app. Thinking about creating an alarm-based to-do app 😂 240
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 12/06/2025I like Liquid Glass not because of transparency, but because of the new layout language 😍 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 10/06/2025I feel like a child playing around, and finding that SmartThings icon can be seen as a Thing icon 🍆 😂 010
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 10/06/2025I think it's time to rethink my transcription app. SpeechAnalyzer should be able to replace the current Whisper real-time transcription logic. SwiftUI rich text editor will also make usage of RichTextKit redundant. 120
Reposted by Vilius Prevenuecat.com @revenuecat.com · 06/06/2025Can you keep a secret? 🤫 #Shipaton is coming back August-September and we're looking for community organizers and sponsors to make this year's mobile dev hackathon bigger... like _way_ bigger 😯 @charliemchapman.com's got the deets 👇 133
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 06/06/2025Fun fact. OpenAI API has violence limits. If your user is particularly cruel, you will receive a warning email from OpenAI and may even face suspension. #OpenAI #iOSDev 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 19/05/2025I was searching for a new mouse because my Master Mx scroll wheel was not spinning correctly. As a last resort, I disassembled and cleaned it. Now, the mouse feels brand new. 000
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 17/05/2025My app Maze AI: Text Based RPG goes temporarily free on May 17 as a part of the AppRaven Daily Deals, don’t miss it! @appraven.bsky.social 020
Vilius P @vilimas.bsky.social · 14/05/2025Then I feel burned out. I do the following: - Rest until I feel guilty, and then a little more. - Create a possible task list for my life. - Start with the smallest and easiest tasks. - Remind myself that I only need to take one small step to move forward. - Rest. 010
