Some of y'all grew up in families where nobody really knew how to cook & it's OK... What's not OK is when y'all speak on something you know nothing about 💅🏿

1. If a person thinks the Popeye's menu, or worse KFC, is soul food, then they don't know soul food.
2. If a person can't name 8 vegetable dishes (legumes, gourds, brassica, leafy greens, & tubers) associated with soul food, then they don't know soul food.
3. If a person can't name 5 meat dishes aside from fried chicken and chitlins, then they don't know soul food.
4. If a person thinks meat is the most important dish, then they don't know soul food.
5. If a person relies heavily on sugar or Lawry's, then they don't know soul food.
