In June, we got a pre-order offer card from #Ezee Fiber; they are coming to our neighborhood. Our #Xfinity services have been going out so much this year; I couldn't sign up quick enough. I usually take my time to make changes. #Xfinity is down AGAIN, and I can't wait until #Ezee is installed.

Today was supposed to be baking day. Peach Bread and Triple Berry Crumble were the goal (potato salad for fun). I organized the cabinets, sorted all the ingredients, but then got a phone call saying I could get my oral surgery today. I'd been waiting months for this! Tomorrow is baking day!

20+ yrs ago my hubs grandfather shared his 7 life lessons with me. 1 of them: have faith in something. I decided to have faith in myself. It has made this past year's job rejections hard. Certifications aren't cheap, but they are the window to the closed door. A window I WILL open. I have faith.

Since I don't have a job (YET!), I have been baking for the past few months. E.g., I love focaccia, and it is the simplest recipe ever! We have it every week now. No matter what I make, I have found that these simple spatulas make everything easier. I use them all the time. 😍

The Great American State Fair doesn't even look like fun. Did they hire a meeting organizer instead of an event planner? The local county fairs here in Illinois look like a ton of fun with flashy lights and lines of people everywhere looking to eat, drink, ride rides, look at the booths, etc.

I love #birdsky. All of the colorful and/or unique birds make me smile. After following it for a couple of months now, I am pretty sure George Lucas, Jim Henson, and other creature designers were really into bird watching. I swear I've seen a character just like this Harpy Eagle somewhere.

I just watched Station Eleven. I loved it so much.🩷 Love that it's in Chicago and the lake area. Love how it's all set up and plays out. Love, love, love the acting. Found myself in tears even with the lexapro pumping through my brain. I want to forget it so I can watch it for the 1st time again.
