Keep your eyes on your mailbox, our very first mailer of the campaign is dropping next week 👀

Back of a campaign mailer for Steph Vigil featuring a photo of Steph speaking with two people around a kitchen counter. Below, the headline reads “On Our Side in Every Fight,” highlighting three priorities: investment in public schools and communities, affordability for working families, and standing up to corporate lobbyists and Big Tech. The design uses teal, yellow, and white campaign branding.

I had so much fun at the 2026 El Paso County Democratic Party Gala this weekend! I always say it: El Paso County Dems are built different. We’ve got great candidates and some of the hardest-working volunteers, organizers, and supporters in the game. Let’s go win 💪

I’m proud to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado! Self-determination is a basic human right and a core Colorado value. That includes the right to safe, legal, and accessible abortion. I’ll continue fighting to protect abortion access and reproductive freedom in Colorado.

I was proud to stand with D-11 teachers and families yesterday to demand the school board hold Superintendent Gaal accountable for recent allegations of mishandling internal complaints, and that they return Dr. Givler to her classroom after nearly a year of being on retaliatory leave.

I’m proud to be endorsed by Colorado Ceasefire PAC. After the Club Q tragedy in HD-16, I stood alongside survivors and families. That experience strengthened my commitment to reducing gun violence. I’ve worked to pass common-sense protections and will keep showing up. Everyone deserves to feel safe.

I know from experience that delaying or rationing care can have devastating consequences on one's health. I'm grateful we have organizations like Peak Vista to step in and fill the gaps, and I’m looking forward to getting back into office to work on solutions to our ongoing crisis of care. 2 of 2

In my first term, I was a real problem for corporate special interests -- the ones who gouge you on rent and groceries, spy on you so they can use your personal information against you, and strain our utilities for their data centers. And they sure would like to keep me off the house floor.

110

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Billionaires and corporations spent over $2 million against me in 2024, and they will once again spill obscene quantities of money trying to keep a working class leader out of this seat. Why? Because when I go to our state Capitol, I remember who I work for.

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Now that we know who my Republican opponent will be in November, let's make the distinction clear: My opponent is a union buster who cancelled our teachers' contract in D-11, and is being bankrolled by the same big business interests that pick your pocket every day.

Because we're not here today to celebrate a rose-tinted image of our country or to uncritically declare it superior to all others. We're here to celebrate how far we've come, and to recommit to the work that's still ahead. Happy Juneteenth, and let freedom ring. 7/7

020

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

From the beginning, we have had our work cut out for us if we are to become the nation that we aspire to be. It's one of the reasons I think this holiday is so special. Juneteenth is not a day off, it is a day "on." 6/7

120

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

With mass incarceration, brutal treatment by law enforcement, a persistent gap in economic conditions, and ongoing efforts by white supremacist politicians to undo the progress we've made – there is work to do still. 5/7

110

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

It took a great deal more time and effort to end segregation, to pass voting rights, and to curb the wave of lynchings and other acts of domestic terrorism against Black Americans. 4/7

110

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

The deep-seated anti-Black racism that perpetuated that institution did not evaporate the moment the ink dried on the Emancipation Proclamation. Just as there was more effort necessary to spread the news of that liberation, there was also more work to be done to enshrine other rights. 3/7

110

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Our nation's founding principles are powerful and noble, and certainly more inclusive than the sort of legal system our founders were drawing from. Yet they are more aspirational than descriptive, and from the very beginning we have often failed to live up to them. 2/7

110

Steph Vigil for Colorado @vigilforhd16.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Today is Juneteenth, the most recently added Federal holiday. It marks the occasion when, in 1865, Federal troops arrived in Galveston, TX and notified people still enslaved there that slavery was no longer legal. It's a day of jubilee, when the last enslaved people were liberated. 1/7

Honored to be endorsed by the Jane Fonda Climate PAC! Colorado is already feeling the impacts of climate change through drought, heatwaves, and wildfires. I’m proud of my record fighting for clean energy, cleaner air, and sustainability, and I’ll keep fighting when I’m back in office.

Loved marching in the Pikes Peak Pride parade and celebrating our LGBTQIA+ community’s resilience. Pride matters because shame and attacks still harm our people. I see you, I’ve got your back, and we’re going to win this seat back so I can keep fighting for you. 🌈

In November 1992, a controversial measure was passed that prohibited anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ individuals. Known as Amendment 2 and born out of Colorado Springs, it led to Colorado being labeled the “hate state.” (1/5)

I had a great time with friends old and new at Demfest and the Obama Gala yesterday! The voters have handed Colorado Democrats a mandate to govern, and in my view we should use it to fight for meaningful, systemic change. Primary ballots go out this week -- get yours in by June 30th!
