I think even last season and now, when they are behind because of a flame out by the pitcher in early innings, they try too hard to get the runs back. Tonight was too familiar.

Another issue with the offense (not just this year): when they are behind in early innings like that they aren't patient and they take worse at bats.

Yeah I live not too far away and same temperatures and I don't go outside if I don't have to. So those guys standing out there in the first innings especially when it was at least 93 could have been a factor.

David Vassegh had a great point: Snell taking so long to get out of those first innings (90 pitches in only 3 2/3 innings) when the temps were still in the 90s in part lead to guys coming out flat.

That was crazy. Wonder if he's just trying to provoke. He's a weird guy. His mother didn't want him or his brother and left him 1$ in her will. He had a 1.9 GPA in college and failed to graduate with his class. The CIA wouldn't take him. His dad was head of the VOA, linked to the CIA.
