I am back on Hushtones tomorrow with a cassette of my album FULL EARTH MODEL IV. I made this during a moment where I was feeling great energy and the work just flowed. It's very weird but definitely something in my head I had been trying to reach and I like it.

Last night i discovered a folder containing many tracks I don't remember recording for the 溶けた壁 project. i must have not liked them at the time, but listening now i see what i was going for, so i put two albums of them out today.

Having your podcast guest explain their whole background upfront drives me nuts in the same way ambient intros to metal albums drive me nuts. Just jump into it for god’s sake.

There is massive tension between AI music tools themselves and the act of making real art/being an artist. But it’s within that tension that the potential exists for interesting and subversive things to be done.

Suffering and unhappiness are not necessary for making art, but you do need some connection to the world.

Lost Highway was my introduction to weird art, for which I can thank the soundtrack. Without NIN, Manson, Bowie etc. I don’t know if/when I would have gotten into Lynch. Definitely a big moment in forming the person I am. Thank you David.

This week: victory over death - before we appear / lost album Sentimental signal ambient that's caught a lot of attention. Soft, harrowing, melancholic transmissions from the past, like aching memories. Digital at 12 ET tomorrow, tapes on Friday. Hushtones.bandcamp.com

Still some CDs available here for fans of glitch/signalwave. I started to work on a follow-up to this album but abandoned it, and the tracks I'd made are now bonus tracks on this edition.

Many heated and interesting discussions happening now about AI in music. The arguments people are having on discord about AI in vaporwave are probably happening among people in all genres at all levels. It makes sense, these are new questions.

Some darker signalwave with lots of white noise on a new insomnia comm. mini LP. The title is kind of a goof on stars of the lid.
