🩺 Veratridine & Colorectal #Cancer (CRC)🌸 A new study highlights #Veratridine, a plant-derived alkaloid, as a potential treatment for CRC. It inhibits a hyperactive signaling pathway, inhibiting angiogenesis, and slowing tumor growth. #SpheroTribe was used to study its effects on #spheroids.

🩸 New study on platelet biogenesis! 🏋️‍♀️ Mechanical properties in the bone marrow stroma prevents platelet release, while deconfinement upon transitioning to the bloodstream triggers their proper production. 🔬 #AgarSqueezer was key to showing how confinement affects megakaryocytes.
