Lil Vic lore drop hehe, hoping to do A LOT more of these for all the different kinds of Vic clones I've got bouncing around in my head :}

General:
Vics specialized in ground based warfare / combat, most often taking up the role of base guards and security in and around critical infrastructure or bases in contested/dangerous environments. The memories and experiences of Vics who've survived notable combat engagements are copied, stored, and uploaded into these clones.

Genetic Modifications:
Combat Vics are a good bit taller and stronger than the average Vic clone, with an increased metabolism, granting better endurance, and ability to heal wounds and reproduce their venom faster.
The venom they carry varies depending on their individual role.
- Most carry a non-lethal paralysis or deleriant venom (These guys would be your average Vic base guard, the non-lethals are for the ones most likely to only be dealing with rowdy Victors)
- Second common but certainly not uncommon is the straight lethal variety, a blood coagulant or neurotoxin, liquid incompatible with life. (This one's a no go for biting other Vics with)
- And the final rarer variety found in combat Vics is a powerful local anaesthetic, while enough would certainly kill, it's purpose is to be used by designated medics to help with treating combat wounds. (It used to be a morphine-like drug, but they kept getting curious and biting themselves to see what would happen so they ruined that for everybody, thanks Vics)

Butterfly Knife:
Each combat Vic has a butterfly knife in their kit, less a practical fallback option when their ammo runs dry, and moreso something to keep themselves occupied during long guard shifts.
The combat Vic brain-save they emerge from the pod with doesn't come equipped with any more than a very basic knowledge of how to use it though, so they have to learn knife tricks from their fellow snakes who've been around a bit longer, or by cutting their hands a bunch trying to figure it out themselves.

M4A1 (Modular):
The most common firearm carried by non-specialized combat role Vics. It is essentially exactly the same as an actual M4A1, with the only difference being that its parts are designed to be more easily swapped out to fit whichever role a Vic might desire for any particular mission (Longer/shorter barrel, grip/stock etc.), with plenty of rail space for further refinement.
Another difference between the Vic's M4 and the standard model is the Vics manufacture these with no iron sights. most creatures have no issues using them, but snakes have to get their necks all scrunched up in an awkward position to get their eyes down the sight.
They have designed an effective workaround for this problem though, mounted forward on the top rail is an infrared laser which is linked to a helmet mounted cueing system displayed on an eyepiece inside their helmets, showing a dot exactly where they're aiming, as well as accounting for ballistics.
The Vics do use traditional sights on various other weapons like scoped rifles and such, but with the sight having to be mounted either very far forward or at an off angle, the HMCS sight is the practical option for weapons that require more maneuverability, or are smaller and shorter range.

Helmet:
The standard issue combat helmet comes equipped with a weapon linked HMCS eyepiece, built in radio, toggleable active noise canceling ear protection with voice targeted pass through, a sliding glare shielded visor, and pretty decent ballistic protection. While it is also comfortable, it's typically only worn when it's expected to be needed.
(The controls for the HMCS configuration menu are the square set of four buttons on the left ear, with the radio volume control knob and noise cancellation toggle button to the right of the HMCS controls, and the helmet's battery cap below the buttons)
The combat helmet also carries a high degree of modularity in mind with it's design, similar to the M4's. The visor, neck and chin straps, HMCS sight, and radio mouthpiece can all be removed to make room for or be replaced by other parts as needed, as well as the option to mount additional hardware on the top rails.
The chinstrap holes also serve as mount points for an air tight snout maskpiece, or a full-face piece (CBRN, or heavier ballistic protection) provided that the visor is also removed. the radio mouthpiece jack also supports the option to connect a throat mic for when the mouth is obscured by a mask.

Backpack:
Another piece of gear only worn in necessity, but still often, as there's no shortage of hours long base perimiter patrols, expedition escort missions, and general travel situations these Vics are tasked with. Its contents vary depending on the mission, but commonly it contains extra ammunition, spare batteries, radio equipment, cold weather gear, a survival kit, a water canteen, and a few MRE's of various meal types (They will absolutely suck your cock for you to trade them the breakfast sandwich one).
