🎄Happy holidays! PSA: Victoria parkrun, Truro is going to bed for the winter. The ice in the park has improved, but is still significant. It's beyond what we think is safe for a community event, so we're going into hibernation mode. Thanks for parkrunning/walking/dancing with us in 2025! ❤️

030

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

❄️Ice, ice, baby... we're optimists over here, but even we have to admit the course is a mess. Even with 2 days of warm weather ahead, we can't be certain that the course will be safe for Sat. Another cancellation... cross your fingers for next week!🎄And in the meantime, have a wonderful holiday!

000

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 04/12/2025

🧊 Our course is an ice-field! The forecast is predicting temperatures in the negatives for the next 2 nights, so we doubt conditions will change. In the interest of safety, no parkrun at Victoria parkrun, Truro this weekend (Dec. 6). Hope to see you next weekend!

A mild Saturday morning this past weekend - how lucky are we?! We had 13 participants and 1 recorded a new Personal Best. Huge thanks to our 6 volunteers; we couldn't do this without you! The full results and a complete event history can be found on the Victoria parkrun, Truro Results Page.

Sure it's easy to stay in bed on a rainy morning, but why would we do that when we could spend time with you? We had 13 weather warriors today (3 first timers). No PBs, but an excellent array of puddles! Thank you volunteers - we love you more than all the raindrops that fell on you!

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

Event #125 last weekend saw 10 brave runners and walkers. Brave because it was post-Halloween, pre-time change AND because of the headwind and muck! Each of them saw it through, including our tourists from the West Country, UK. Thanks for a lovely time all and much gratitude to the volunteers!

🎤 Reunited and it feels so good! This weekend past, we had 22 folks come for a walk or jog (3 first timers, 2 PBs). The weather was perfect and the fall colours did not disappoint! Thank you to the 8 volunteers, including Kevin who wrote our race report for the website. #loveparkrun

🪵 The logs have been moved and there’s a passable corridor! Let’s get back to the good stuff, friends. We’re collecting volunteers for Saturday, October 25; let us know if you can lend a hand! 👋

010

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 18/10/2025

Rumour has it the town has moved a log-pile adjacent to the construction, so we might have a functioning corridor… 👀 We’ll check it out this weekend to see if it’s passable, but remain on hiatus for tomorrow! Can’t wait to see you all again! 🤞

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

The good news: Construction is underway on the new pump track. The not good news: Construction is active and the fencing blocks the path, so we remain on pause. No parkrun this weekend, but we hope everyone has a lovely long weekend with their favourite people! ❤️🍂

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 02/10/2025

🚫Victoria parkrun, Truro will be closed this Sat., Oct. 4th! 🦺 Construction fencing is in place. There is a narrow strip of grass where you can go around the fencing, but in the interest of safety and allowing the crew to get their work underway, we are going to hit pause. Thanks for understanding!

Don't know if our first Fall run could've been any prettier! Leaves are turning but warm enough for a t-shirt: the sweet spot! We had 21 participants (3 first timers, 4 PBs). 2 different clubs were present & 7 fantastic volunteers. You make hosting a joy! ❤️ Full results can be found on the website.

📢 Update: Construction start date is unclear & project is est. to take 2-3 weeks. Given the labour of creating a new course, & the short duration of the project, we’ll stay as-is. Will cancel when we have to (bear with us). But let’s plan as if we have a lovely Saturday ahead, because we well might!

010

Victoria parkrun, Truro @victoriaparkrun.bsky.social · 22/09/2025

PSA: Due to imminent construction happening near our start/finish line, we need to create a new parkrun plan. This will require on-going communication with both the Park Dept. & parkrun HQ. Appreciate your patience while we sort things out. Will let you know the plan as soon as we have one!
