Been very impressed with the liturgical sensitivity of the Vatican media team managing the video feed. Wondering if they might be interested in joining the livestream team at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh?

“May the principle of humanity never fail to be the hallmark of our daily actions.” - words from Pope Francis’ Easter Message yesterday. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory. #PopeFrancis

If someone says “I’m not making excuses” but then makes what sounds like excuses, is still making excuses, right?

What they haven’t said on @channel4news.bsky.social is that for a time, the ministry of Cottrell, Perumbalath and David Tudor all overlapped. David Tudor’s Area Bishop was Perumbalath, and Cottrell was both David Tudor’s and Perumbalath’s diocesan bishop.

Timelines of overlapping ministry in Chelmsford:

Stephen Cottrell - 2010 to 2020 - Diocesan Bishop of Chelmsford
John Perumbalath - 2018 to 2023 - Area Bishop of Bradwell (within Chelmsford Diocese which includes oversight of Hadleigh Deanery)
David Tudor - 1997 to 2024 - Team Vicar then Rector of Canvey Island (within Hadleigh Deanery)
