Some years ago I announced to whoever would listen that *if I could I would by stocks in Moderna* - not for anything to do with their Covid-19 vaccine, but for the cancer vaccine work. And apparently I should become a full time stock market speculator. Sigh.
The Moderns $MRNA stock price from the last month.

Was going to enter the draw for #WorldCup tickets. Apparently the cheapest ticket to see Canada in Toronto in the group stages is $1300. An absolute racket. No thanks, not under any condition. Burn it all down to the ground. Oh and investigate FIFA's financials.

Heads up, Toronto's air quality is the second worst in the world right now. Minimize time outside, put on air filters if you have them and consider wearing an N95 if you do have to go out, especially if you are in a high-risk group for PM2.5 exposure.

I tactically voted for the incumbent Liberal candidate in my riding. Would have also voted NDP or Green if it had been the tactical vote. Maybe 65 people in lines in the polling station. Great to see!

Am absolutely loving this Guardian reporter's reflections on the Blue Origin flight this morning... "Tunnock's tea cake" "Vanity Space Trips" She is *not* impressed. Lmao.
The capsule, shaped like a giant Tunnock’s tea cake, has touched down amid a lot of excitement from those on board.

The voice on the radio says “congratulations and welcome back to Earth”.

There’s applause and cheers among the spectators. All six of the women appear to be fine.

It seemed a bit of a bumpy landing to me but apparently that’s par for the course with vanity space trips.

Meanwhile, I can remember Man United fans chirping Newcastle that they were a "small club" just a year or so ago. And...well. Only one of these clubs is a wreck and it isn't the one in the North East

This is so hilariously bad. CPC in my no hope of them winning riding in Toronto. What are Liz's policies? Who is she? No idea. The whole other side is dedicated to a) the guy who is no longer PM B) Misinformation c) issues which are largely provincial, not federal. Pitifully poor TBH. Yikes.

An urgent plea from a Belleville-based canning company, Sprague Canning regarding the extra costs of tariffs. Buy some of their soups, they are terrific!
