So sad to hear that the iconic, trailblazing, Apollo 11 moon landing software engineering lead, Margaret Hamilton, is no longer with us. Love this image of her, standing next to a print out of the software that landed Buzz Aldrin and Neil Amstrong on the moon! 👩‍🔬🔭🛰️🧪 ℹ️: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I should have worn oven gloves for this, no?🤭 Venus is a boiling 467 Celsius! What do we think to this planet my loves? Only one person guessed correctly that this was my next painting. Any guesses what comes after this?😂 Sending you all love and clear skies!💜💫 🧪🔭🐡

Thank you so much! Definitely the better view to paint haha. We don't appreciate the beauty of the planets often enough.💫

Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system, so it seemed only right that I used a tiny 5" canvas for it! I originally wanted to paint the planet in 'real' colours, but that was just grey. This view caught my eye and looked so much better imo! 🤭 Sending you all love and clear skies💜💫 🧪🔭🐡

Should I be painting? Yes. Am I? No. I'm taking a day to play Palia and forget reality, my brain needs the distraction to shut it up. And I need to recharge from it's overthinking. 😆 What are your weekend plans my loves?! (I have done some jobs today, wasn't a day of absolutely nothing!😂)

Everyone needs the kind of friends that sends Moon pictures and talks about space with you. Always makes my day when someone sees her and thinks of me.🥹

Tiny little Mercury, the smallest planet in our solar system and the closest to the Sun. A year here is only 88 days!🤯 We often tend to look further afield to deep space objects, that we forget how beautiful our local objects are. Sending you all love and clear skies!💜💫 🔭🧪🐡

It was for sure! Was just driving and my eye went straight to her, had no idea she was even up.🤭 Took the the photo when I'd finished driving though hahhaa!!

Guess who I saw today! I had no idea she was up, she caught my eye and knew I needed her reassurance today.🥹 Awful phone photo, idc at all!😁

Coffee, pain au raisin and Palia while this 18" monstrosity dries. Then another layer.🤭💫 What are you lovely lot up to?!

Five years ago I bought my first oil paint. That tube is still with me today, I've finished the white up though. 🤭 It feels like yesterday, yet I've achieved SO much!! I'm incredibly lucky to have found such an amazing space family. I also think I've improved a little bit since then, no?😂 🐡🧪🔭

I definitely underestimated how much paint an 18" canvas would take. Finished this tube in two days trying to build texture.😂 Definitely need to get some acrylic medium if I do anymore huge canvases in future.🤭

😂😂😂 I feel your pain! It's all a scam.🤪

Vicky Paints Space @vickypaintsspace.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

She's still there, always is even when we can't see her or the stars and that always brings me comfort knowing that.😁

010

Vicky Paints Space @vickypaintsspace.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Yup, and if you don't hook someone within the first 2 seconds they're gone forever.😂

Vicky Paints Space @vickypaintsspace.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I completely agree and I will always do it for me and to share the universe with everyone. It's just hard when I'm relying on some engagement to bring me sales and not have to end up getting another 9-5 job. Which is looking fairly likely haha. 😆

010

Vicky Paints Space @vickypaintsspace.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Well obviously!🤪😂 Always another night though!

I know it's to share space with you all but honestly. I do really wonder at times.😆 (Ignore me, just overthinking while I'm sat here debating if my shoulder will let me paint or not.)

040

Vicky Paints Space @vickypaintsspace.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I keep swinging between being SO excited to finish this collection and show you all. And wondering why the hell I'm wasting my time when I've committed the social media cardinal sin and not filmed any footage. My engagement is already fairly rubbish so, what's the point?🤷‍♀️

So I missed Observe The Moon Night, it was cloudy and I've done something to my neck/shoulder. BUT I will never pass up any opportunity to share the Moon with you all, so here are two past paintings and possibly my best ever photo!🤭 Sending you all love and clear skies!💜💫 🧪🔭📷🐡
