This is what happens when you forget you're dictating your first draft & start talking to the dog... 😂

We've had a bath! Now smelling, literally, of roses. Well, organic rose shampoo & conditioner. Which is much nicer than what she rolled in... 😂 #dogs

Discovered there are TWO Curzon cinemas in Canterbury. One is a 10 min walk! Going to see Conclave. 😊 No spoilers, pls. I haven't read the book!

One of the snowdrops I planted yesterday has come out. It's a sign, right?

If you ignored the cold, it was almost spring-like in Westgate Gardens earlier. Has this blossom got confused?

We found new woods yesterday. Gorgeous light through the bare trees at dusk.

Stuck for a few Christmas presents? Still time to get paperbacks of this bestselling cozy mystery. In fact, the series has TWO books set at Christmas, this one and book 7: Murder at Mistletoe Manor. Available on Amazon.

Went to Christmas drinks at the weekend & the host sent me home with a sausage roll for Lexi. She even wrapped it in a Christmas napkin! Here's Lexi's face when she smelled it!

One thing I love about walking round Canterbury is the glimpses of the cathedral that emerge at intervals. Morning!

Lovely, rabbity wander around the woods at the university. Lexi's known these paths and trees since she was a puppy. Love watching her taking it all in 10+ years later.

Good morning. Lexi thinks the world is better with cheese puffs and I agree... 😂

People often ask me what the inspiration is for Ellie’s cockerpoo dog in the Wootton Windmill Mysteries... 😂 #dogsofsky #skydog

Yesterday's glorious sunshine on the hills above the port of Dover. Plenty of rabbit droppings for the brown bear.

I don't usually manage to catch her mid-roll! Port of Dover on horizon. Very wintery, aka bloody freezing. Odd coz it was warm this morning!

What's interesting about this trend for book marketing AI companies—who secure £Xmil in seed funding, get a write-up in the Bookseller, and will now wither away, leaving only a slime trail of AI generated goop across the surface of culture—is mainly what it says about capital’s engagement with books

0° in the park this morning. Pretty though. Keep seeing snow in other parts of Kent.

I'm so cold, I've had two baths today. Apparently tomorrow's meant to be even colder. Maybe I should just stay in the bath?

Anyone else find Google Maps' "slide right" and "slide left" a bit creepy on their SatNav? 😱🤣

Don't be fooled by those blue skies. Icy roofs & windscreens, and frozen birdbaths here.

As it's a year since I was on here, I thought I'd introduce myself for new followers. I write cosy mysteries under the pen name Izzie Harper. Outside work, I love walking my dog, reading, nature & countryside. My newest obsession is aqua! Tell me about you!

Autumn leaves. Not a fan of the incoming winter but am enjoying these beautiful coppers, reds & yellows.
