For me in NJ, it was $25… but it took a month to get. My husband got his after me and it took a week.🤷‍♀️

Get in touch with the Vital Statistic dept in the state where you were born- you can order your birth certificate- its not hard to get - I don't know the cost for where you live but I think it only cost me $25 in NJ.

I think it will because most people in red/conservatives states don't have the money to get a passport - it's expensive. And the states with the highest amount of passports tend to be blue states.

I had to get my long form birth certificate because all I had was the short one. In the 70's we didn't get the long form. I did this last year when they started talking about this Save act nonsense. So if you were born before the 80's make sure you have your long form BC - the short one won't work.
