If a facility has been used on a shared basis (Cis/Trans) for years, without issue, and it’s now being restricted to “biological sex” (excluding trans people), wouldn’t it be better to keep the shared facility as it is & create some single occupancy facilities for those who don’t want to share?

I guess as long as the statements of fact within the declaration remain true, there’s no reason to change it. It’s definitely true until death in my case.

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

I think it’s more than a snapshot in time, as it says “until death”. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is the use of “male/female” referring to gender or sex? It doesn’t say gender or sex on the toilet door, it usually says “male/female” with a little picture of a man/woman.

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

Kind of makes “for all purposes” and “until death” both meaningless. What about for the purpose of using the female loo in the gender of female? That’s my declaration. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 25/05/2026

That is interesting, I will check…🤔

If you’ve signed one of these, you’ll know it’s a legal declaration “to live in that gender until death”. Making a false Statutory Declaration is a criminal offence, leading to prosecution, conviction, fines & imprisonment. I know which gender I am & which facilities I’ll be using until death.

The argument they love to use… “How can we tell the difference between a trans woman and a cis man (dressed as a trans woman) in our bathroom?” Well… How will you tell the difference between a trans man and a cis man (dressed as himself) in your bathroom?” You just made it a whole lot easier…!

Exactly! A trans flag pin is a strong sign someone might be trans. We want as many "are they- you know what, not my business" moments as we can get, and as many bathroom challenges to be badly aimed as possible

For business owners, the important part of the new ECHR advice is this: 13.179: There is no type of official record or document in the UK which provides reliable evidence of sex. [...] Therefore, it is unlikely to be proportionate or practical to ask for further evidence of a person’s sex.

I’m cisgender, prove me wrong. I’m transgender, prove me wrong. I’m intersex, prove me wrong. I’m non-binary, prove me wrong. I’m gay, prove me wrong. I’m lesbian, prove me wrong I’m straight, prove me wrong. I’m queer, prove me wrong. I’m bi, prove me wrong. That’s right, you have no clue.

Incoherent gobbledygook…. “Are you trans?” Mind your own business. “Are you sure?” Yes I’m sure.

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 21/05/2026

Falsehoods… 1- “Transgender people don’t exist.” “Transgender people are dangerous.” (Transgender people do exist and are no more dangerous than anyone else) 2- “A man could dress up as a woman to enter a woman's toilet.” (True, but they’re not transgender are they, so that’s a problem with men)

So what is it that Trans People want? -Primary Care based healthcare without waiting lists. Not GICs -The right to update all our official documents without delay or restriction. Not GRCs -Discrimination protection that recognises our dignity & humanity. Not exclusion The same as everyone else

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 24/04/2026

But wait…. Doesn’t denying or refusing to accept someone’s gender identity still equate to “prejudice, negative attitudes, beliefs or views, fear or dislike” So why remove it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

2302

Vicky Hodges @vickyhodges32.bsky.social · 24/04/2026

Stonewall’s Transphobia definition “Prejudice or negative attitudes, beliefs or views about trans people. This can include the fear or dislike of someone based on the fact they are, or are perceived to be trans” They removed this: “including denying their gender identity or refusing to accept it”

GRA Section 22 protects personal data about a person's gender recognition status. It’s a criminal offence to disclose this info if acquired in an official capacity. Withdrawing prior consent must be communicated clearly so people or organisations know they must seek your fresh consent every time.

For anyone who’s being asked to leave organisations like Girlguiding or The Women’s Institute due to Trans exclusionary policy changes… Things to consider: 1- How will they verify sex? 2- How will they implement the policy? 3- Why not leave and start an inclusive organisation? (many will do so).
