"The election was stolen, he didn't earn it." I don't think so. He did win the 2024 election (by a modest, 1.5% of the popular vote, but still). That's more the problem. Current polls say 32-37% of Americans still support Trump. Take Trump away and you still have that to deal with.

Old Ancestors: Humans and spiders trace back to a single-celled ancestor that lived over 650 million years ago."

To be honest, it doesn't seem that poorly written, or "AI"-ish. Disregarding the question of how it was written, do his assertions seem believable? Or do you disagree with those? Or is your argument kind a new "ad hominem" for the AI-age? 😉🤔

If it was an exam, maybe. But it sounds like the context was refereeing a paper submitted to a journal. I'm guessing that the real problem was (legitimately) the "never quite clearly spelling out an argument". But, what if it had contained brilliant points, but the writing looked LLM assisted?

Victor Klien @vicklien.bsky.social · 06/08/2026
Something tells me this tide is not going to stop. People won't stop using AI, they'll just keep paying for better and better AI, until it will be almost impossible to tell the difference. How hard could that be? Maybe we should judge the paper based on the merit of its ideas alone?

Victor Klien @vicklien.bsky.social · 02/08/2026
I'm curious what you use for web searches. With Google you now get an AI summary at the top. Do you just skip over that? Or use something else?
010
Victor Klien @vicklien.bsky.social · 02/08/2026
I get your point that "AI" can be unreliable, and I'd agree that you need to double check it. Having said that, what in your opinion is wrong, based on your knowledge and sources, with what it said? Or do you basically agree with what it asserted?

The virus keeps mutating. It can keep re-infecting people. Getting vaccinated and getting boosters is absolutely the best way to protect yourself, but if there is a growing pool of unvaccinated people, that will unfortunately effect us (the vaccinated) also.

The point of that quote is that unvaccinated people are a problem even for vaccinated people, not just themselves. It doesn't say anything against booster shots. Does it?
