Front seat in the Amtrak business class car. It has tons of extra space between my knee and my rolly bag. I’ve even expanded the normally-carry-on-sized bag the extra 2 inches. I am the proud owner of 3 planes. Now they’re a shit ton cleaner & sharper, and I know how to use ‘em. Yeah, I’m a badass like that

3 old Craftsman hand planes aka metal contraptions with a blade, for woodworking. They all have darker wood handles on both ends. 2 of them are several inches shorter than the third. All 3 have some wood shavings sitting on them, implying successful planing.

Has anyone used fontpainter.com and had issues with the characters not generating properly when clicking "create font"? I seem to get a fairly random handful of subscript characters each time

So, the local library has been shutdown, by the town, since June. There are handfuls of library road signs, still up. I think they deserve to become art. What would you do with them? I have a few ideas (🧵) and wanna make sure it’s visible from a distance

Life’s been hectic in mostly good ways. Anyway, design is my thing and it permeates everything I care about. So, I’ve started designing a house because why not. Just needs an `is_occupied?` light outside the secret door What would your dream board game room be like?

A pencil-scrawled floor plan. several areas to play, read, chill, whatever. With an area in middle for a table.

A longer description:
a sorta octagonal room on one end and rectangular on the other. The rectangular side has 2 90° angles with 2 windows on the short end. Each of these corners has reading nooks that double as seating. Each nook has a small table next to it. Between the 2 windows is a Murphy bed. On the long/bottom wall is another pair of windows with a second Murphy bed option. Beyond the windows, the walls start to angle into the octagonal shape. Part of it is a window seat. Part is a coat closet. Part is a closet for the room. And the last part connects right outside the bathroom, outside of the room. The last part is labeled “secret passage?”

This weekend, I learned I am not autistic. So, I wrote this note at the beginning of my copy of Unmasking Autism. I’ve been marking up this book with intentions to give it to my dad, in hopes that I can share part of my life with him.

“This weekend I talked to Dr Langer, a well-educated special education teacher, about how I felt after sharing a rather short list of things, in my lite, that helped me realize I am autistic, years ago. I felt brushed off. Which really felt shitty, when I was scared to share such things. I guess I’m not qualified to understand my life. Doc Langer has just now reminded me I don’t have a diagnosis. That's interesting, since my dad doesn’t either and actively denies the label. However against her husband’s will, Doc Langer has confidently diagnased him. She has also informed me that, if anything, shed label me With Aspergers because for some reasan it’s worth distinguishing from Autism.”

It’s been a riveting (literal) week of protecting cardboard holes. I think I finally have enough functional components to iron out the 🎲 ✂️ mechanics. I think I unintentionally built an Overton Window simulation 🤷🏼

A long skinny board just wider than applying card has multiple sets of half poker cards clipped together and then along the edge of the long skinny board there’s a shoelace woven in one card and out another an in one and the other in one and out the other all the way down, the shoelace goes from green at the top to red at the bottom

Earlier, some old dude broke my autistic-grocery-store-tunnel-vision to tell me about his patriotic graphic novel, that he wrote & drew. I hope my transgenda shirt didn’t scream patriot

Printed paper flyer photocopy. It’s quite rudimentary. Sorta zine style but not intentionally. In the middle is a QR code to book on wattpad.com.

Above the QR code is the title “FLAGG” and its letters are filled in with spectrum-like stripes and along with stars on a dark background. It reminds me of the Malaysian flag.

Behind the title is some sort of bird (eagle?) insignia emblem. Behind that is a globe with circles around it.

In front of that is a business-suited person next to a “happy 4th of July” and a speech bubble that says “god bless America”

Below the QR code, there’s are a few things written in marker. “BEST COMIC BOOK EVER!!!”. “5 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ “. “SUPER GOOD!!!”. “WATTPAD.com”. And “JMUSE58”.

Working on a new game thing. I wasn’t intending to catfish 🎲✂️

There are two index cards with two cards paper clipped to each of them. along the left edge there’s orange and yellow laces threaded through four holes in each index card.

Oh, and the most important part but I almost forgot. There’s a white kitty with tabby spots attacking the yellow string that’s coming out of the top index card.

The cards (top to bottom) read:
- wearing sneakers with dress clothes.
- Dumping water out of bottle at airport security.
- responding to a group email via “reply all” to talk about that game.
- mowing thy neighbor’s lawn.

This is basically the same picture and the same view. The main difference is the innocent adorable white kitty of yester-picture is now vicious attack, monster: mouth agape, arm swatting.

Bags of Progress pride colored chevron tons are lay on the counter around a block cut for printing the boxes these bits will be going in. The block says “not a real-word game” in some scribbly fonts. It also has a game stats block of 5-15 minutes, 8+, and 2-12+. This last box doesn’t have an icon yet because idk what to do in such a tiny space. In the back, you can see the tops of 3 spotted bananas.

I am trying to make it harder for this wolf card to use (eat, 🤫) these hoofed creatures, by requiring that a wolf is placed upon 2 of them simultaneously. With this wolf card, would you expect the wolf to A: none of the below B: use the left C: use the right D: use the top E: use the bottom

There’s an arrangement of ungulate cards surrounding a wolf card. All of these cards seem to have corners that should be overlapped to demonstrate usage.

The Wolf card is in the middle is showing that the left two corners of the Wolff card can overlap with the right most corners of the cards to its left.

On the left, there is a deer and a bison. The left side of the wolf card shows locks in the corners and a key in the middle, but connected to those two corners.

On the right, there is an elk and a deer. The right side of the wolf card shows keys in the corner and a lock in the middle, but connected to those two corner keys.

At the top, there is an elk and a bison. The top side of the wolf card shows a padlock on the left and a skeleton key on the right they are simply connected by a plain line.

The Community Center has just moved, but the moving boxes are super unorganized! Work together to make the new building a cohesive welcoming space

Patchwork is clearly a 🎲✂️ tool. Next up, adding some kitchen utensils and other handheld hobby tools

a variety of polyominoes from Patchwork. They're separated by size and shape. Along with each Patchwork shape, there are matching white polyominoes. Some of the white polyominoes have various handheld tools sketched uponst them. The sketches are just black ink in a more iconic style than detailed. Tools include: tape, drill, tape measure, spray can, utility knife, goggles, earmuffs, level, caulk gun, paint roller, bike pump, paper guillotine, c-clamp. The tools are roughly to scale. each square is approximately 4-6 inches

It’s been a minute but I think I finally have an idea. Everything on the site lends itself to the “rising tides” and “boats” thing. So I’m imagining something like this 2nd panel, but game and Unpub themed. I’m gonna scribble together something a little closer to what I’m imagining

2 panels. First panel as 3 boats in separate but adjacent differently sized ponds. Second panel way more water has been added. All boats are at the same level, well above their original level

I have turned my garage wall into …um, maybe a future game board? 🎲 ✂️ I started drawing the spray can last night and I’m pretty excited about this project

Picture of the wall in my garage. You can see part of the door on the left. Then 3 studs with recessed space available in between. At spot one, there are safety glasses and earmuffs hanging along with glue, wd-40, and a tape measure. In spot two there’s some cattywampus boards holding up the newly installed insulation sheets. In front of that, a progress pride flag hangs loosely.

The same view but with some very looking basic 2 by 4s, concrete blocks at the bottom, fire extinguisher, light switches and some wires. Superimposed there are some measurements. With those measurements comes a big orange area masked to show easy access. Then the are green areas at eye level and hand level to show the easiest accessible spots

With 4 weeks left in spring, our Quiet Year is just getting started. With a llama whisperer, some ominous vultures, a rainbow, and a cursed seesaw, this year is gonna be an interesting year

The Quiet Year, a mapmaking RPG with project dice and contempt tokens. There is a contempt token next to the recreation center’s horseshoe pit and the cursed seesaw.
An index card lists rain as an abundance and bunnies as a scarcity.

Well crap, I haven't posted an update on this for a few days. I outgrew the index cards. Paper refuses to understand layouts. *shrug* Anyway, how about we have some fun while we practice taking up appropriate space? 🎲✂️

Things on Pedestals.
Blue noun card says "truss plate" "pronged metal plates embedded in wood to create secure connections"
Orange communication card says "Should you be heard?
More or less than others?" on one side it says "speak more - who did it and how" the other side says "speak less. only use green things"

Setup.
Each player:
• gets a experience card, keep hidden.
• reviews the card and makes their.
Gameplay
With no defined turn order:
• Look at the blue noun card.
Round 1
• Say "yes, and" then, within your card restrictions, give more detail. Repeat for each player.
Round 2 - Inform the Whisper Network*
• "Should noun even exist?"
• "Who communicated too much?"
• "Whose experience is most important?"
*If you spoke last, whisper to another player.
Repeat until each player has spoken

There are various green cards scatter on the right side. Mortgage haver, "unskilled laborer", recent grad, roof technician, suburbanite, interior designer, house builder
