Sarah Nicole Robles is in Guinevere, too. Man, Dana is taking practically all the major players she's worked with before and saying, "Wanna voice in this Indie cartoon I'm doing?"

Okay, I know I said I was gonna dedicate this next week to animation, but honestly... I kinda want to draw a bunch of Prints themed around characters that were revealed, released, or discussed this month. Will I finish them all this month? Who knows. But I got an itch, and I gotta scratch it.

030

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 4h

Major congrats! I can't wait to hear you in this arc!

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 5h

With Kazuya in Smash Bros., and now Reina in Fatal Fury, which releases this month and in January, it will be wild if Tekken 8 STILL doesn't come to Switch 2.

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 7h

I love that we now have Zeno Robinson in a Glitch cartoon, and fittingly, it's the one by the creator he worked with before. Crossing fingers we eventually hear him in Gaslight District, Lackadaisy, or Gameoverse.

040

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 7h

They have yet to appear in any game.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 8h

I will certainly make use of this system.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 8h

At the very least, I just want the Persona 5 Royal Decals.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 8h

I mean, slurry takes effort to make, I suppose.

030

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

This does make the Free Update characters feel more like a proper Reward than just DLC that Sega is weirdly choosing not to make money for. Honestly, this does give me more incentive to play single player, because I really wasn't feeling it before.

040

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

McLaren Sonic is an alternate costume. A bit of a relief, honestly.

030

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

Awesome! I was hoping for the two of them!

040

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

How peculiar that one of the Free Updates is just a brand deal featuring a new costume for Sonic. If that's treated as a separate character, I'm gonna be a tad cross.

142

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

I do like the idea of unlocking new Vehicles this way.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

Calling it "slop" feels disingenuous when very real work did go into putting these together. But yeah, this is largely going for more brand synergy and being less about Sonic.

1260

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

Calling it now; Cloud and Sephiroth are the playable racers. The Persona Pack is a new Course inspired by the overall series, with new vehicles and corresponding outfits for Amy, Sonic, and Shadow. Teddie is the third Persona character added for free to lead up to this finale. And now we wait.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

This could actually be a good opportunity to unlock previous Festival features without having to wait and hope they show up again. Though, we're REALLY gonna have to save up Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals if we want them.

130

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 9h

We can finally unlock the AI Rival Skins by another means!

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Also, that's not correct. Lanolin was added to Rumble a while back.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

The way this is structured, I'm thinking Year 2 will be it for new content updates for this game. And I can honestly see Surge being chosen to wrap up the Free Update content.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Gotcha. Not the thing I was expecting to be corrected on, honestly.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

I've watched a few videos recently from one of my favorite channels where not only did one of its core members consistently say so (with no one correcting him), but he also opted to exclude it from a discussion of Nintendo Remakes.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

In case anyone's worried, the "Download Required" tab refers to the DLC. Also, yeah, I think I'm in agreement with the majority that this box art doesn't slap.

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Yeah, this felt inevitable. After their inclusion in Sonic Rumble and merch collabs (that I don't THINK I'm making up?), getting a Sanrio pack felt right.

110

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Honestly; actually a cool idea for a Pre-order Bonus. Sad it's not the Classic Characters I hoped for, but I'll be happy with Console Legacy representation.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

How does anyone expect to drive literal arcade cabinets?

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

The possibility is certainly not zero.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Probably the most fitting choice for a gift for those who have the full gamut of content. This does, sadly, spread the line of additional Sonic inclusions much thinner, though. Surge, Kit, Lanolin, Sticks, and Infinite might not make it in this time around.

221

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

The way this is set up, I'm thinking we'll actually see content drops on a monthly basis, with free and paid inclusions placed accordingly.

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Of all possible choices, I'm glad Aigis is this game's second Persona rep. I hope we get another shot at those Persona 5 Decals.

120

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

Fewer character drops this time around. That leads me to believe the game is officially winding down and will see the end of content updates by the end of next year. All the more reason to keep playing and checking out each update until then!

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

I haven't even unlocked Super Sonic yet. I'm gonna have to fix that!

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 10h

I like that: 1: DLC isn't limited to characters this time. Sometimes it's just vehicles or even costumes. 2: They're still keeping some cards close to their chests. VERY excited to play as Aigis.

A much better price for the game than when it first came out. If you have yet to purchase this and are interested, now is the time to do so. Especially if the Year 1 Edition gets confirmed today. PS: This price cut applies to the console versions, too.

030

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

So laser-focused on her goal that she forgot the reason for it. Well, this may be the most vindicating homework session Maria will ever pull off, I imagine.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

Ooh, a tease for what we can expect when Part 3 of Season 4 returns in 2027, eh? Good spot to leave us on for several months, I gotta say.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

I think this was a more fitting end for Kira Buckland's role in this anime than how the first Part of the season left her. Gran and Maria effectively move on to the next life with a more positive impression of Rimuru. Fare thee well, Heroes of yore. We'll take it from here.

020

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

After all is said and done, I am at least glad Granville's character arc ended on him reflecting on his actions and saying to Luminous and Rimuru, "I gave it my best shot. Now I ask you two to save the world in my stead." He gave us a bumpy ride, but he did at least stick the landing. C+.

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

I'm not entirely sure I'm fond of Chronoa, Chloe and Hinata surrounding Rimuru, who, remind you, is mentally in his 30s, while all three of them are technically in the nude. Japan, you are weird, and not always in the good way.

000

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

Evidently, there are boundaries even Raphael is unable to cross unless given direct consent. Also, apparently, Chronoa is able to hear Raphael, which is a REALLY big question I'm a little frustrated they're not going to address. If not now, hopefully at some point.

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

Taking a drawing break while I get some food in me. Muting the Crossworlds Championship while still letting the stream run so I can still get those in-game prizes. Let's wrap up this Season of Reincarnated as a Slime, shall we?

010

VGAfanatic (FIRE EMBLEM, BABY!) @vgafanatic.bsky.social · 13h

I like that they didn't go with one of the obvious choices like Kazuya or Jin. Reina is definitely a fan favorite in Tekken 8, and great to hear her in English for the first time. After this, I hope she joins Street Fighter 6 for its Year 5 of DLC.
