It's so over. The world of "manual code" is over. Or at least that's what a guy that goes by the name DHH believes. But this guy has had a past of being useful to coding. And is also really loved by Billionaires. So we have to take him seriously. So let's see what I might be able to say about this.

David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH), creator of Ruby on Rails and CTO of Basecamp has just announced at Rails World 2026 that they are moving away from Ruby because there is no need to write and read any code anymore; agents are shipping thousands of lines of code in Rust and he is super happy that nobody needs to read it. Wdyt?

In this instance, Gemini clarified that it was AI and referred the individual to a crisis hotline many times.

We take this very seriously and will continue to improve our safeguards and invest in this vital work.

If you are still paying for Disney+ do note you are paying for your children and family to get shown shitty AI-generated videos

As part of this three-year licensing agreement, Sora will be able to generate short, user-prompted social videos that can be viewed and shared by fans, drawing on more than 200 Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters.

Agreement will make a selection of these fan-inspired Sora short form videos available to stream on Disney+.

Disney and OpenAI affirm a shared commitment to responsible use of AI that protects the safety of users and the rights of creators.

Alongside the licensing agreement, Disney will become a major customer of OpenAI, using its APIs to build new products, tools, and experiences, including for Disney+, and deploying ChatGPT for its employees.
As part of the agreement, Disney will make a $1 billion equity investment in OpenAI, and receive warrants to purchase additional equity.

Microsoft have dropped a list of the 40 professions most threatened by AI. Your first instinct should be to dismiss it due to their mountains of interests in convincing the world that AI is more than horribly inept at most jobs But on a second look, it's worse than that. Third, a more negative-slanted: "Why is Flamepierce in Path of Exile 2 underpowered?"

It appears you're asking about the perceived underperformance of "Flamepierce" in Path of Exile 2. While specific meta shifts and player feedback can evolve rapidly in live service games, here's a summary of why Flamepierce, and fire skills in general, might be seen as underpowered based on recent community discussions and mechanics in the Path of Exile 2 beta:

1. Anti-Synergy and Lack of Creativity in Fire Skills:

Forced Combos: Many fire skills in PoE 2 seem to have hard-coded combos (e.g., Flameblast with Solar Orb) rather than allowing for flexible build creativity. This can feel restrictive and limit diverse playstyles.

Ignite Mechanics: There's a notable issue with how ignite works. You can't stack ignites, and ignite-spending skills often don't scale with the level of the burn. This can make various ignite-focused fire skills feel less impactful, as they struggle to compete with simply landing big hits for ignition.

Redundant Roles: Some fire skills appear to have overlapping or redundant roles, with certain skills being objectively better at igniting (like Ember Fusillade or Fireball) than others (like Firewall/Solar Orb) that are designed for it. The latter may only be "good" for their secondary effects, which might not be strong enough.

Poor Skill Tree Design: The fire elemental tree, in particular, has been criticized for skills that don't combo well or synergize effectively due to the way fire mechanics are implemented.

In summary, Flamepierce's underperformance likely stems from a combination of its own restrictive mechanics (disabling ignite, requiring pre-ignited enemies) and broader issues with the synergy and balance of fire skills within Path of Exile 2's current beta state. The community has expressed a desire for more creative and impactful fire skill interactions, which could indirectly benefit Flamepierce if the underlying fire mechanics are improved.

It's important to remember that Path of Exile 2 is still in beta, and game balance is subject to change based on player feedback and ongoing development. What is considered "underpowered" today might be buffed or reworked in future updates.

Second, a more positive-sounding question: "What makes Flamepierce useful in Path of Exile 2?"

Flamepierce is a Support Gem in Path of Exile 2 that significantly enhances projectile-based Fire builds, particularly those that focus on Ignites. Here's what makes it useful:

Guaranteed Pierce for Ignited Enemies: The primary utility of Flamepierce is that the initial projectile created by Supported Skills will always pierce Ignited enemies. This is incredibly powerful for clearing groups of monsters, as your projectiles won't stop at the first enemy they hit, but will continue to travel through multiple Ignited foes, dealing damage to each.

Synergy with Ignite: This support gem is designed to work hand-in-hand with Ignite mechanics. While Supported Skills themselves cannot inflict Ignite, Flamepierce allows you to leverage existing Ignites on enemies to gain the pierce effect. This means you'll want to pair it with skills or other sources that reliably apply Ignite.

Increased Area of Effect/Coverage: By ensuring projectiles pierce, Flamepierce effectively increases the area of effect or coverage of your projectile skills. Instead of hitting just one target, your projectiles can potentially hit many in a line, leading to faster clear speeds and more efficient damage application in dense packs.

Enabling Unique Interactions: Pierce is particularly potent when combined with projectile skills that trigger an explosion or similar effect when striking an enemy. If a skill explodes on hit and also pierces, it can theoretically explode multiple times as it passes through a line of enemies, leading
