I'm entering into that phase in my weekly ADHD cycle where I'm sublimely useless, delighted in my inneptitude, and contented to watch paint dry. I might play a game, but that sounds like effort- and sister, I ain't got none. 💜

It took 11 years, but my YouTube algorithm finally realized I'm transgender. xD I think it got it in its head that my transition was just me having a daughter, but it also figured out that I wasn't married; so it showed me ads & videos for custody lawyers, crypto, & eventually antipsychotic meds.

I just had a dream about a low poly survival horror game where the protagonist learned all their fighting maneuvers from the Three Stooges, so whenever a zombie or a ghoul started to creep on them, they could dissuade them with a series of eyepokes, slaps, & ear twists!

This is, unironically, how Para-phoria came to be such an ecclectic setting. I cannibalized a lot of concepts that had gone unused for 2 decades; and stitched them together into a shambling horror that has clawed its way out from the labs in a despirate bid to be born.

Starcraft II hot take... I think, it would have worked better as a generational story. The new versions of the characters are pretty different from their previous selves, but they're still interesting folks in their own right. I think they could have worked as decendants of the old cast.

BTW, TTRPG side of bluesky; how did I do on this...? #TTRPG #Gamedev I tried to figure out a map design philosophy that gently guided players to aproach problems like cautious little xenomorphs; deliberate in their actions, but not overly afraid to aproach problems. IDK if I did a good job on that.

And here's a version of the art by itself, without all those nasty TTRPG rules nobody wants to read!

This image is an illustration for an indie TTRPG called Para-phoria. The character in the illustration is an insectile humanoid with wicked claws, papery wings, and a serene expression. She seems to be inspecting her talons, as she emerges from a fleshy cocoon.

This image is an ability from Para-phoria called Malleable Vines. It shows a figure clad in piecemeal latex, with cyberlox hair and resperiator tubes dangling behind her back. She stares up through the lenses of her gasmask, at an arm mutated by fleshy botanical tendrils and bulbous green protrusions.

This is an illustration for para-phoria! It shows the inside of a cy-drone factory; with three humanoid drones standing in charging pods and one expressionless doctor-drone standing in front of them. The doctor appears to be plugging their mind into a tablet while they side-eye the viewer with their sensors.

I recently caught myself saying "my favorite" about my own artwork... it's kind of an odd feeling? I'm not used to feeling so proud of my own work, but now I can look back at the things I've made and feel genuinely excited to make more. Just to see what I'm capable of accomplishing. That's... wild.
