Thank you 🙏 I wanted to keep the blossoms loose and add some movement. They were so fun to draw!

Why should a studio save the show? "Because it's the right thing to do." 🗿 🐺 SaveWOT.com 🐺 This shot was too lovely not to draw. Had to deal with some tricky lighting and angles, but it was definitely worth it! #SaveWOT #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies #DigitalSketch #BookSky

A black and white digital sketch of a still from the Wheel of Time season 3 trailer showing Perrin Aybara, played by Marcus Rutherford; he is frowning slightly and looking over his shoulder at someone off camera. He is wearing a light shirt and surrounded by apple blossoms. The background has been sketched loosely, with most of the detail being on Perrin's face. On the right, the artist wrote "SAVE WOT!" in a big narrow font, with "#SaveWOT" and "savewot.com" written under it in a smaller font. In the bottom right corner, "vert-de-gris.bsky 2025" is signed in light grey against the folds of Perrin's shirt.

It's another #WoTWednesday, and I finally joined the #SaveWOT fan campaign on IG. I also challenged myself to sketch a quick battlefield banner without relying on reference. Trickier than I thought! instagram.com/verdigris.psd ⚔️ SaveWOT.com ⚔️ #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies #DigitalSketch

A quick digital black and white sketch of a battlefield banner against the sky, surrounded by roiling white clouds. "SAVE WOT!" is written on it in a stylized font, with a smaller "SaveWOT.com" under it. The banner is hung on a long wooden pole, its two tattered points flapping in the wind; the upper half is light in color, while the tattered points are dark. At the bottom of the sketch, similar banners have been sketched loosely in the background.

Drawing Elaida on the Seat shouldn't be much trouble right? ... Right? 🌹 SaveWOT.com 🌹 #SaveWOT #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies #DigitalSketch

A close-up of Photoshop on an iPad with an Apple pencil at its left side, where we see a zoomed in and cropped black and white unfinished sketch of a still from the Wheel of Time season 3 showing Elaida Sedai (Shohreh Aghdashloo) sitting on the Amyrlin Seat in ostentatious Amyrlin regalia. She is looking at someone off camera unflinchingly, her lips pursed with disdain. We can only see the left side of her face, part of her sunburst crown, the raised shoulder of her garb, a long earring and part of a bejeweled necklace. On our right, there is a vertical bar with various Layer icons partly covering the loosely sketched columns of the Seat.

I really enjoyed his portrayal, especially in S3 as things ramped up for Perrin's storyline! It'll be pretty tragic if that's all the Marcus-Perrin we get... Thanks again for the kind words, I knew I had to get that furrowed brow right 🙏

BREAKING: Rafe Judkins speaks for the first time since the show's cancellation. The decision to cancel seems to be beyond the control of anyone who's worked creatively on the show. This has always been a studio/streamer play. #SaveWOT #TheWheelOfTime ❤️📖📺🤞

I've been asked the same question many times the last week - why was The Wheel of Time cancelled? And the truth is, I don't know. I wish I could say something clear and tidy that explains to all those who love it why it's coming to an end, but sadly, I can't.

What I can say is that the actors and crew on our show are the most talented and wonderful group of people I've ever had the pleasure to work with. And we've all been incredibly lucky to make something that not only was beloved by fans (and even critics! ha!), but was also watched by huge numbers of people all over the world, appearing in the Nielsen Top 10 for nearly 20 weeks, a feat very few shows have been able to match in the last decade.

One of my core goals in making this show, even from the earliest crafting of the pitch, has been to tell the whole story. Because the Wheel of Time books do what television has always done best - get better as they go. And as our actors and team came on board, they too could see the potential if we were allowed to finish this incredible story.

We made many sacrifices, both personal and creative, along the way to get to that ending, so coming up short feels like a devastating blow for all of us.

Much has been written about this larger trend in TV toward fewer seasons with less episodes and finding quicker ways to acquire additional streaming subscribers.

But I genuinely believe that this goes against the fundamental strength of television long-form storytelling. It is an art form, much like epic fantasy, which at its very best, gives people a place to go and spend time with the characters that they love year after year after year. And I believe there are executives, studios, and networks who know that. I believe that we will find our way through this current iteration of the industry and back to what we do best - bringing great characters into people's living rooms and lives every week.

Will the Wheel of Time get to do that with another network and finish the story? Sadly, it's not something that happens often. But it does happen. In fact, one of the reasons we first chose Amazon as a home for the show was because they were in the midst of picking up The Expanse after SYFY cancelled it. So, who knows, perhaps the Wheel of Time show will do what the books have always managed to do since day one - defy the traditional definitions of "beginnings" and "ends". I certainly hope it does - because this book series and these fans deserve to see the story finished.

It's #TarValonTuesday! Recycled the unfinished Liandrin sketch into another #SaveWOT poster 🫡 Prompt: What's your Ajah? 🤍🩶💛💚💙❤️🤎 I would say Green (warder besties), Blue (The Cause of it all), Grey (folks need to get along) or Brown (nerd). ✨️ SaveWOT.com ✨️ #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies #DigitalSketch

A black and white digital sketch of a still from the Wheel of Time season 3 trailer showing a disheveled Liandrin, played by Kate Fleetwood, looking up menacingly with a hint of a smile. We mostly see the right side of her face, as only half of her left eye is visible. She is framed further right by loosely sketched hair. In the upper left, the artist wrote "SAVE WOT!" in a big narrow font, with "#SaveWOT" and "savewot.com" written under it in a smaller font. In the lower right corner, "vert-de-gris.bsky 2025" is signed in dark grey against the shadows of Liandrin's hair.
