“He’s not the easiest man to deal with, but I expect I’ve got it easier than my brother.” He nodded, settling down with her in his arms.

“Mm. Equally trying, I spent the day with my father helping him to manage his estates.”

Turning around in her arms, he returned her smile and rested his chin on the top of her head. “How was your day?”

Giving a small shake of his head, he let out a guilty sigh. “Losing you terrifies me, but I don’t want you to be unhappy either…”

“you shouldn’t have to keep women off him when you’re with someone else, he’s a grown man, surely he can handle himself…” he whispered, as he rested his forehead against hers. “you’re a desirable woman, any man would be jealous if they had to share you..”
