V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 20/02/2024I'm thinking about rewriting some Sailor Moon episodes. Ep. 42 is one of the hardest, because getting rid of the love story will also remove the final moment, and it'll be hard to come up with something equally powerful. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 19/02/2024The Kaleidomoon Scope is beautiful, and Moon Gorgeous Meditation is very beautifully animated. Too bad that it requires HorsePower(TM) to activate. Like, it's one thing to be artistic choices, it's another thing when the VILLAINS comment and act on it more than once. 021
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 19/02/2024So Bluesky hasn't supported GIFs yet. Give it tim, I suppose. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 19/02/2024I hope I won't regret choosing the Super Sailor Moon figurine with her Kaleidomoon Scope, considering that arm tends to fall a lot. (It seems some parts of her are detachable for ease of transportation, but still...) 010
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/02/2024I did it! My first fanfic is complete. Now I can move on to other things (though I'll stay off writing longfics for a while, planning those is hard.) archiveofourown.org/works/310209... 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/02/2024Jeez, why don't some AO3 writers untick the "finished" box each time they update a new chapter? It's bizarre to see "Finished" works keep popping up with new chapter count. 100
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/02/2024China does a pisspoor job of repressing Tibetan culture, doesn't stop it from spreading to neigbor "authoritarian" commie country. www.tibetanreview.net/the-worlds-l... 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/02/2024The only Sailor Moon episodes that I can put on a " you can skip" list with confidence is episodes 67 (dinosaur) and 89 (clip show), plus the first part of the SuperS special (clip show again). The rest depends on the viewer's personality, and at most I'll put on content warnings. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 17/02/2024Anyone knows what car model this may be? Googling only gave me "here are Sailor Moon fillers to skip" sites, which are 1- fuck u and 2- find another series, or another hobby. 121
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 12/01/2024Koan actually made a good point in episode 70 (you shouldn't continue to trust someone who treats you coldly), so they had to bury that with some empty speech about beauty. Fuck the breakup arc in R, honestly. 111
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 11/01/2024It's funny to see 🐈 use both litterboxes back-to-back. (We have 2 because we once had 2 cats and it was difficult to toilet train 🐈.) 010
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 10/01/2024Can I say "Death to Israel" over here or nah? I technically can on Twitter, just that they'll restrict my post even though my account is tiny. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 09/01/2024It seems my oldest one-shot (10 kudos, 2 bookmarks) has a chance to surpass my longfic (13 kudos, 1 bookmark). The oneshot gets more likes occasionally, while the longfic's stats have plateaued for some months despite updates. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 08/01/2024*checking Urban Dictionary* Well, that's one way to learn slang. I guess the nicknames Peg or Peggy are less popular nowadays huh? 010
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 07/01/2024I was considering stopping my fic (I won't), and a fanfic writer I knew just orphaned a bunch of their 1000s-word long works and either changed their pseud or deleted their account ☠️ 100
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 07/01/2024I still feel weird about a nude drawing of Chibs with adult boobs. They said that she had an adult body (true), but they had remarked that Takeuchi couldn't draw female characters without boobs more than once 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 06/01/2024What do you think of naming a baby after their parent or family members? I think it's kinda lazy unless the name is unique or the namesake is deceased. 110
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 06/01/2024Princess D's concept makes no sense. She's the princess of a diamond kingdom, yet she couldn't afford more flattering glasses? 110
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 26/12/2023If you see this, I invite you to post a picture from whatever device you wee using without explanation. 020
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 26/12/2023The oysters are completely sold out at the supermarket now. I was lucky to still be able to grab some at the seafood stall when the boxes had already been taken. ☠️ 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 23/12/2023Is Bluesky going to change their name to Bluebutterfly or what? 100
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 22/12/2023I don't like the idea of "All Sailor Moon villains are actually one and the same", though I can't articulate why. Maybe my mind just lumb it with most of the Stars lore that I don't like. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 22/12/2023I don't know if I'll write a bashing fic. There are characters I hate, but bashing them is still giving them screentime, and I roll my eyes at fics that have multiple bash tags (to the point that "No X bashing" tags exist.) 110
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 11/12/2023It's funny that the Starlights chooses to become an idol group when 2/3 of them are extremely antisocial. Crystal misses a chance to make them YouTube stars during covid lockdown. 010
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 05/12/2023"Daddy's Girl" is supposed to be a Sailor Jupiter song? Ironic choice for an orphan (even if that's not explicitly stated). 100
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 30/11/2023Old dude: Is that a female cat? Me: No. He's male. Dude: Are u Korean? Me: No. Dude: My son dated a Korean on the Internet, blah blah blah... Me: (nod while internally go WTF) 010
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 21/11/2023The void may be sick and elderly but she NEVER lacks attitude, that's for sure. (She's currently fighting the cat carrier that's going to transport her to the vet.) 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 10/11/2023Some tech websites are NOT mobile friendly at all, lol. I've come across 2 giant ads that ate my screen in just a few minutes. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 06/11/2023I see an ad for "most beautiful girl names" with a picture of a girl that is either over-airbrushed or generated by AI. Dunno if this is more or less ethical than using child models. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 04/11/2023Hmm, can AI be used to reconstruct lost (or partially lost) films? 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 04/11/2023Youtube suggests "New AI Debbie Harry pics" 1- glad that I turn off autoplay 2- who TF asks for this? It's not like she isn't a fashion/rock icon with plenty of available photos just a Google away. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 25/10/2023I just see an AO3 fic that ticks all Archive Warning bar "No Archive Warning Apply", lol. People really needs to untick the "creators choose not to specify warning" box if they have more than two total. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 23/10/2023The tutorial I'm following is written in early 2019, and oh boy is the "Musk Cult" joke dated. Be careful when name-dropping celebs, kids. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 20/10/2023How much should a writer quote a song lyrics in their text (ignore copyright issues for now)? I think a full verse is fine if the lyrics is relevant to the plot, but if it's not then it can be annoying, especially if the reader isn't a fan of the song. 200
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 20/10/2023I know I'm not the tidiest person around but how on earth was there a CAT CLAW in my desk drawer? The drawer is open, sure, but there's barely enough vertical space for a cat even when it's empty. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 20/10/2023The void is practically glued to the shoebox under my desk after the vet visit... until she decides it's time to beg me for treats. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/10/2023The first Sailor Moon fics that show up in the AO3 page are definitely not for me, lol. Seiya/Usagi I feel a little wary, Usagi/Dimande is a no-no, and I don't care about crossovers (no offense to crossover writers). 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 18/10/2023I feel my Sailor Moon fics are rather... tame by AO3 standards. No crossover, no ships or ships not having a central role, and only one has an archive warning. I do plan on more adult themes, but I don't think I can ever be arsed to write a ship fic. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 17/10/2023Jusas Priest's "Rocka Rolla" sounds a little... lacking even with great riffs and vocals. Perhaps it was young Rob Halford's delivery and that he wasn't wearing leather yet. 000
V. @venusribbons.bsky.social · 07/10/2023I suppose Crystal wants to parody the current J-pop or K-pop boy/girl groups, but why do they need to put so much autotune in there? 010
