I used AI to correctly narrow down what muscles were torn after a shoulder injury, avoiding multiple expensive trips to find what was wrong and went directly to an orthopedic specialist instead. Is someone going to tell me that I took money away from the insurance companies or is that morally fine?

I think two things can be true at once. Like yes obviously you have to be concerned about the person. That’s the job. But you can also share frustration with your fellow rescuers about how much the conditions suck for example. Like cold water, bad weather, difficult terrain, etc. Embracing the suck.

I know people that get a lot of pride out of building something. I like building too but a business really isn’t something I have a desire to do. I’m kind of scared of finance xD. I would rather learn a highly desirable skill and be paid for that instead. That’s why I became a pilot :3

I mean…I would hope that a business owner would be invested in his own business. If I owned one I’d be doing everything possible to ensure it succeeds. Sometimes that includes incurring risk that your workers don’t if the business goes under like loans for equipment.

I agree, but I also think it's unreasonable to think that you can control every individual's interests without force when we are people of free will in a free society. Everyone is going to prioritize SOMEthing over others, and that's a precedent that you can't really justify in a utilitarian system.

The most corrupt thing I ever dealt with in my young working life was a union unfortunately. Idealistically, imo this is a nice thought, but this romanticized concept of the worker is more often than not a fantasy. The intent behind this I hope is good though.

The idea that we have to censor speech with trigger warnings or sugar coated language I think actually hurts real victims of said things because it makes it harder to talk about or even when you do, get people to take it seriously.

Association is a helluva drug. Most people don't like the smell of gas. But if you grew up on a lake working on outboard motors, dirt bikes, chainsaws, and other things like that, the smell of gasoline can be very nostalgic. Guns are another thing that are like that. Positive vs negative memory.

I wonder if tail casts would be a thing in an anthro world. Or if it would be like a spinal thing and if it was too badly damaged part of your tail would just be limp or no longer controllable. Depending on how thick your tail is, might be better to dock part of it unless it was really thick.
