To the surprise of literally no one, my wife is obsessed with Mabinogi lol. (Also she means Follow, she's new to all this streaming stuff; like a sub would be cool too but she's still trying to hit affiliate. Speaking of which, you should help her hit affiliate! It would be really cool of you.)

Of course we start having internet problems as soon as I'm trying to get the stream-a-thon set up. Sorry I'm a bit behind schedule on account of spending a whole day trying to fix the internet. Our router seems to be on the way out which is troublesome since it means we'll need to replace it.

Apologies for the silence for a while, life has been rough for the last few weeks in plenty of ways I will not be sharing with the public. That being said, I'm finally reaching the end of my preparations for the Stream-a-thon. You can expect the event to start at some point this week.

After being engaged for a few years due to life circumstances, other life circumstances have led to my wife and I finally getting married. It may not be the situation and conditions we were hoping for but I'm happy to be able to legally call her my wife regardless.

Got a stream planned for about a week or so from now, and I cannot tell you how ambitious it is. I hope you all enjoy it, it's gonna be a doozy to actually pull off. Details will follow closer to the time of airing.

I'll never have an Uma Musume stream as good as the Collab I had with Kore in which Gold Ship and Oguri Cap dropped by to give us a follow. I got my first Gold Ship URA champ win after that. But seriously shout out to these two for making our night lol.

VelvetSoul @velvetsoulvt.bsky.social · 25/07/2025

I really believe that "social media detox" means more than just stepping away from social media for a bit. You need to unlearn jealousy towards your friends. Follower counts don't matter. You need to reassess your internalized hierarchies. Stop trying to always be the best person in the room.

Fun Fact: People regularly consume horse milk as it is apparently not only safe to drink but very healthy for you. I, as someone who is not a coward; am more than willing to try it but I've not been able to afford horse milk. But as someone who recently got into Umamusume... that feels weird now...

VelvetSoul @velvetsoulvt.bsky.social · 22/07/2025

I'm having a lot of thoughts I want to talk about and I need to get some channel point redeems and such working, I'm kinda tempted to go live while I work on stuff but that isn't my usual MO when it comes to streams... Not sure how I feel about that honestly. We will see.

VelvetSoul @velvetsoulvt.bsky.social · 20/07/2025

Let it be known I have no respect for Mihoyo or it's fans. I have no tolerance for their racist games nor the excuses their fans make for their blatant racism. Native people are still facing genocide every day in the US and Canada, we do not need to be made a mockery of on top of it.

The reason we need people to be willing to listen to Native voices and educate themselves, is because people who are anti Nazi and anti ICE; are still out here being racist to Natives and playing games by companies who are racist to Natives. But you likely don't know who you are.

VelvetSoul @velvetsoulvt.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I was going to stream tonight but asthma had other plans. That being said I happen to know there's a collab in the works between @korebie.bsky.social and I, we've both been talking about streaming stuff in the next couple of days so if you're itching for stream content keep an eye on both of us!

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but a lot of people would improve a lot if they remember that you don't get anywhere by playing pretend. There's fake it till you make it, and then there's pretending you're something you're not to such a degree it's a detriment.

Getting an influx of new followers so, hi! I'm Velvet, but I figure you know that already. I'm Lakota and I use They/Them pronouns. I'm a Vtuber who does everything from gaming challenges, to teaching you how to use Unity to make your own avatars/models; to exploring virtual worlds.

I hope to help people find enjoyment in exploring virtual worlds and indie web spaces. Right now more than ever we have a ton of amazing creations out there to experience, and people are so caught up in social media a lot of them don't know it even exists yet.

For those who don't know, I've started running a Nuzlocke of MoeMon Mega Fire Red while I run Commerce in Mabi on stream. Despite the fact I don't even know the Pokemon type chart, or like... any moves. I somehow manage to pull off victory without losing anyone despite my team looking like this...

I think I have officially come up with ‘lore’ for Korebie! I’ve decided to make her a love witch that disguises herself as a pop star to cast spells on others through her music. I’m really happy with how this model is coming out, and I hope to share with everyone on a stream! 💌

I was planning to get some photography done last night but instead a couple of my friends dropped by and we hung out in VR. It was really nice to just get to slow down and vibe a bit so I have no complaints, plus that just means I get to take some time this morning to do some exploring for pics.

VelvetSoul @velvetsoulvt.bsky.social · 30/06/2025

Opening bluesky and seeing people perpetuating racism against Natives and using Native slurs has done a number on me. The fact you don't recognize it is worse. Please remember to include indigenous people in your activism, do not normalize the racism against my people or you are no friend of mine.
