Yep, think so !! It always reminds me of the late model Bristol 411s - there’s a proportion there just seems off - think it’s that headlamp units are a bit too large for the “face”. Fiat got it better in the 124 Special ( and T).

Renault badges from the early 1900s. Shows the Diamond Lozenge just started in 1925. Founded in 1899, they used 4 different badges up to 1925.

You’re right - a peruse online came up with this “worm gear on the intake side” - can’t find exactly what that looked like. On the Zwischengas.com website

The so-called "medium-pressure engine" combined diesel and petrol engine principles.
High compression ratios were possible thanks to strong turbulence of the mixture by means of a worm gear on the intake side, which could also be achieved with a very robustly constructed crank drive. At 11.2:1, the engine delivered an output of 72 DIN hp, which is why the first Audi was subsequently also called the Audi 72. Between 2000 and 3500 rpm, the torque never fell below 12.5 mkg, which promised a lot of temperament even at low engine speeds and, as a side effect, economy and good exhaust emission values.
