I don’t like quotes like this. Because millions and millions and millions of Americans think Trump is great. Treating him like an incredibly rare disease is not the way to steer this country back to a functioning democracy.

Who’s gonna protect the VBM Voting rights for deployed troops. Especially those in the Middle East corridor! In the past Trump has implied troops don’t need to vote. But is the Postmaster gonna really deny veterans a voice? How low the Repubs go! Deployed vets deserve to be heard most of all!

Lots of people hate cyclists. But here in the US, that translates to violence again and again towards cyclists. It's a collective psychological disorder. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026... ‘Our hearts are crushed’: Hannah Rapp’s violent death sparks outpouring of grief

This! I'm no engineer, but a typical ICE auto has a water cooling system that doesn't need constant fresh water. It runs the water through a radiator where the heat is allowed to escape (certainly a possible energy waste, but that's another story). Why does a data center require constant water?

Such an odd editorial choice to make light of the Iran War right now. Truth be told, the NYT makes one odd choice after another in the last several years.

1. End Citizens United 2. Rewrite the Emoluments Clauses to have teeth 3. Require all candidates to release their tax returns. 4. Set a maximum amount of money to be spent on national elections. 5. End the Electoral College. It is a slave state relic that the founding fathers never wanted.

Sorry no. You're right voter suppression is real. And I feel for the people wherever this happened. Having said that, the numbers are way way bigger than some voter suppression. MORE PEOPLE of voting age chose not to vote than voted for either Trump or Harris. We have a lazy electorate.

You're right. Their bigotry is greater than their understanding of voting against their self interests. It doesn't show any signs of turning around. Basically the culture war(s) have supplanted the political battles.

Great post. Honestly, I still fear for a woman running as a Presidential candidate in this nation. We KNOW we're a racist country. It's a clearly understood that MAGA and Trumpism is a direct result of Obama's presidency. But are we ready to admit HOW misogynistic we are?

Listen for the overlap. The overlap is when those on the right agree with those on the left. It happens. Individual rights used to be something the Right fought for. Now the new Right, which is MAGA, is all too quick to see individual rights be removed because they simply lack education.

I always ask me Republican "friends" ... Do you think that one day the 1% just figured out how to work harder? The immense shift of wealth in this nation is no accident. Corporate Tax breaks, loopholes, Capital Gains tax breaks, loopholes. This is not rocket science folks.

Encouraging, but a long way from victory or defeating Citizens United. Keep pushing. This is arguably the single largest issue that opposes American democracy. But read the article.

One of the many things WE as a nation have failed to enact, are laws that prohibit a felon from being elected to higher office period. Could have done that during Biden, but no... Also, the name Rick Scott comes to mind. Legally, there are many holes in the Constitution that need to be 'filled.'

Sadly, this is true. Most forget that the actual winner of the last election, Trump v. Harris, was "Nobody." More eligible voters simply failed to show up at the polls, or decided to not bother with choosing a President, than voted for either candidate. Apathy, is the enemy.

Still not seeing this as a winning strategy. It's dangerously avoiding the real issue. Democrats became, against their will, the party of trans athletes and open borders. They lost MI and PA, the two largest Union states. The failure to understand where it went wrong is astonishing.

Another absolute tragic defeat for America. The culture wars have achieved absolute absurdism. We have veterans voting for Trump because he cosplays 'toughness' while he guts Veteran's services in favor of his billionaire golf buddies. Yet, under the banner of "Owning the Libs" his support remains.
