Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 04/10/2026When the tourists are mostly gone, there are plenty of good spots available. 010
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 01/10/2026Fair offer for a boat trip. I wish LLM services could offer something similar: "100% correct answer or your money back." In fact, it should be "money back doubled". With the boat, it's still a boat trip even without dolphins. 010
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 01/10/2026[[Stafford Beer]] 100 Festschrift book is out. I contributed a chapter on Autonomy & Cohesion, for which you can use my Metaphorum slidedeck as a TL;DR : kvistgaard.github.io/slides/ac/me... Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 24/09/2026Opsis is a one-file faceted browser for [[RDF]] graphs. Every click is a SPARQL query. Fully data-centric. Even its settings are part of the graph. I'm using it daily to browse my local personal knowledge graph. Now it's available for everyone to use. #SPARQL #PKG github.com/kvistgaard/o... 140
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 23/09/2026While the research and analysis tracks have been progressing modestly but steadily for a year, the situation with software is different: an SOS (summer of software). 000
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 23/09/2026Happy to be flying back home after a tiring conference limbo in the UK. 010
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 08/09/2026One by one, I’m including different datasets stored on my computer into my [[PKG]]. One of the ways to access it is a simple faceted browser working only with SPARQL queries over Oxigraph endpoint. Now I added my HTML slidedecks, which was the easiest part since they were already JSON-LD annotated. 100
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 02/09/2026@melaniemitchell.bsky.social I somewhat hoped that SFI publications would offer sharing on Bluesky, if not instead of X, at least in addition to, but no. 010
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 31/08/2026The decision graph starts to pay off after a couple of months of use. Three different ways of accessing depending on the need: Mentor notebook, currently containing 30 SPARQL queries, a faceted browser, and for visual exploration, I use Reactordia. I'll share more soon. 010
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 18/08/2026The latest article in the Technodynamics series is about the law of concentration. Check it out: www.linkandth.ink/p/second-law... (two more articles in the series are drafted and will be published soon) 000

Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 13/07/2026And here is my first Jolla. Charged it today to see if it is still working. It's just fine, and Sailfish has to this day, for me, an unbeatable look and feel and gestures. 010

Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 01/07/2026I wonder how much it is now with the consumption of all the AI compute. 000
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 29/06/2026LLMs have a pointing finger problem. When pushed back with a convincing example, the example is examined and served (pointing finger), but there is no work on what it points to (the moon) unless a heavy skill guides it; even then, it often shifts to a second moon-like pointing finger. 000
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 25/06/2026LLM-generated prose overuses certain words for transitions, pivots, contrast, and summarization. Recent studies have confirmed that, compared to human texts, generated prose overexplains. 🧵 111

Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 23/06/2026 2/3 Some leases are standing (platforms: Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Uber), and some are dormant until awakened (Iran's access to the dollar in 2012, Huawei's access to chips in 2020, and so many other cases in the last couple of years). There are also leases without a landlord. 100
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 23/06/20261/3 Some autonomy is free (both in the sense of freedom and of free beer), and some is leased. You pay for the leased autonomy with coordination rent. 100

Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 14/06/2026Suspending Fable 5 is a good thing. 1/5 It’s good for Anthropic, as it’s the most impactful free ad ever made. 2/5 It’s good for Anthropic’s competitors, as it gives them time to catch up. 👇 320
Ivo @velitchkov.eu · 09/06/20261/5 Businesses seek adaptability, experimentation and speed; policy seeks predictability, accountability and safety. The tension between the two is natural and at least as old as the Middle Ages. For a long time it was simply ignored. 🧵 122
