I appreciate that. I’ve read various things and I’m sure it takes time and everyone is obviously different… but people talking about how peaceful it CAN make things… that sure is appealing…

Haha yeah, I love the “be creative when you message me and put me on a pedestal and worship me”… and I’m just kinda like… more looking for someone who has goals and stuff that we can work together to achieve… not really looking to finance someone else’s. I get the need to stand out though.

Finally got the black hardware in to get this looking a bit more cohesive. I did a light relic on this guitar too, but only because there were some small bubbles on the refinish that really bothered me, and I was able to kind of hide them and make it look a bit more natural.

Haha right!? I mean, if it was never their hobby, I get they might not understand, and that’s fine. And yeah I think that’s why I really liked the Switch. My ex could watch her reality tv that I hated (mostly, lol), and I could play games. I do think it contributed to us drifting apart though.

But I guess I feel misunderstood, because my hobbies tend to be more… lone wolf based. I like to game on my own… I like to play guitar on my own… go to the gym on my own… and to a lesser extent go for drives on my own (that’s one where it’s nice to have someone accompany me though).

I suppose if they do share your interests it can be more workable, but I always feel like I’m ignoring them. Then, if that person is like “ok you’ve been playing that new game for 30 minutes now, can we go for a hike?” That’s when I’m like 😐. And I want to do the things they like too… 1/2

I find I’m reluctant after all this time to give up my… independence and alone time, which I really use to recharge my battery. I find people doesn’t understand not wanting to spend 24/7 with each other, which is puzzling to me. So even when I meet someone nice it’s kind of overwhelming now.

One of the things I love about Brian Cox is how joyous he is when talking about Science. It just makes you want to listen to every word. He’s always got this wonderful smile, and he speaks intelligently, but not in a way that you can’t understand. We need more people who make us want to learn.

lol yup, it’s gonna take some time. But I’ve learned some lessons… one being… build it where you’re displaying lol… I carried the star destroyer downstairs after and it nearly fell.
