Animals are the most vulnerable creatures on the planet. Constantly at the mercy of the human species and victims of their abuse. It doesn’t have to be that way! 🌱

People who pay for animal exploitation every day get outraged when another country kills animals they don't eat.

I’m glad to see this post reach 2.2K likes and 345 restacks. But I can’t help wondering how many people sharing it know that Jane Goodall was a vegan advocate — and that a significant part of her warnings about “destroying the Earth” concerned the environmental damage caused by consuming animals.

[“I live vegan, but I don’t preach about it” 🥰 …we should be careful not to turn “leading by example” into a philosophy of INACTION & silence] 💯 Millions of animals are terrorized daily. THEY NEED US to be active voices, not pick-me-apologists prioritizing the feelings of those funding the suffering

We should all be a little more vegan

Imagine this terrified victim becoming someone’s “food.” Nothing shames me more than knowing that I once paid for this suffering. What a horrific, unspeakable crime we have normalized. I’m disgusted that I ever contributed to it. And I’m determined never to look away again.

I would argue the normalization of animal use post necessity is *THE* greatest failure in human history, as the betrayal of other sentient beings is the root of all injustice we have so shortsightedly inflicted upon the entirety of the animal kingdom, incl our own species 👣 www.eating2extinction.com
It's hard to imagine a greater betrayal of human progress than continuing to kill trillions of animals for food in a world where we no longer need to.

Let me repeat this: Yes, data centers use water and have an environmental footprint. But animal agriculture uses over 220× more freshwater than all the world’s data centers combined – yet receives nowhere near the same scrutiny. Meat eaters sharing comics like this is honestly hilarious.

It’s not really hard to move towards a mostly vegan diet - going all the way takes a bit of education, but so worth it for the environment, climate, health and - of course- the animals who suffer so much.

Veganism isn't an additional moral principle. It is the practical application of values that most people already claim to hold when it comes to avoiding unnecessary harm to animals.

The animal industry wants to seem untouchable. It isn't. If veganism made no difference, they wouldn't spend so much money attacking it. If animal rights activism had no impact, they wouldn't fight so hard to silence it. If you can: speak up. Take action. Be a reason for hope.
