Since summer has been hot as balls I've been practically living off of my Steam Deck for the past month for PC gaming. After years of portable Switch games I never realized how much more tolerable 30 FPS handheld gaming is when it's got full resolution and max settings backing it up.

Watching the Simpsons episode where they go to the beach house for vacation and Lisa sheds her identity to hang out with the beach kids. I'm pretty sure this episode was the catalyst for me never ever buying a yearbook. 😆 Which is still strange because I've signed plenty.

Ignoring the charm of the old campy voice acting, I think Peppy not sounding like an old army veteran has been the biggest shame about the voice direction. The unbothered delivery on "Not without you, James" in the prologue in particular hurts.

Gave it a bit more thought and I think one strong, albeit unfair feeling I have towards some excellent games that already have online/multiplayer is that it can feel not necessarily like an afterthought, but definitely not a primary focus of the game's features.
