veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I’ve been spoiled by the library’s hardcover selection. Thumbing through an 800-page paperback just doesn’t cut it the same way a good binding lays it out. #booksky 160
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I may kick myself for this later (mildly), but I think I’m gonna wait for the full reviews on the Retroid Pocket Duo before I hit pay. That clear purple is almost too beautiful to resist, but I want to know for sure that this thing can play Wii U games 😫 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 30/08/2026“Don’t ever forget, this story is a tragedy”. Over the course of 6 months I steadily churned through all 8 books of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Today I’m happy to say that I’ve finally caught up to date! #booksky 2100

veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Had the day off so I went to watch The Odyssey this afternoon. Had a really good time, and enjoyed the overarching message about civilization and man’s relationship to religion. Thinking back on all the early criticism this movie received people were really missing the forest for the trees. 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 01/06/2026@holz-bau.bsky.social Got my library to order a copy of Building for People. As for when and how many copies they ordered, we’ll find out soon! Woohoo! 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 04/05/2026@cobblemon.com been playing Cobblemon with my son for a few weeks now and it really ties together my desire to mine and craft, and his bloodlust as a young trainer 😌 Thanks for such an awesome mod! 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 27/04/2026By seemingly complete chance I found book 2 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series at the library sitting innocently on the shelf. The reservation queue for it was so long I can’t believe it was there. Welp, now I know what’s immediately next on the list! 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Took some time this morning after daycare drop off to finish off the few remaining chapters. I’ve had this set sitting on my shelf for many years, and I’m glad to have finally made the time to finish it off. Some days feel like we’ve entered a 1Q84 world ourselves, and I hope we find our Esso Tiger. 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 27/04/2026I’m 40 pages out from finishing my book, but it’s midnight and I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep knowing that I’m so close to the end! 😭 000

veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 11/04/2026I just caught up on the Chainsaw Man anime and Reze Arc movie. I thought the tragedies of these types of stories would bounce off of me as I got older, but I can’t help but sit on the floor and feel broken and empty about the ending… 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 10/04/2026I can always count on Greg’s opening intro to put a huge grin on my face no matter the kind of day or week I’m having. Happy #Taskmaster Day to all who celebrate! 020
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 05/04/2026Finished up books 1 and 2 of Haruki Murakami’s 1Q84 just last night over the last month. I’ve got the third one on my desk waiting to go, but I think I might need a break 😵💫😅 Still I’m really happy with my reading progress these last few weeks! 000

veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 20/03/2026Just came out fresh from watching Project Hail Mary. Good movie. Was disappointed by how much was cut out and drastically changed, but to distill the book down to 2h36m was an ambitious task from the start. All things considered it was very well done. #amazeamazeamaze #thebookswasbetter 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 11/03/2026I really, really try and use Apple Maps whenever I can, but oftentimes it fails spectacularly. Why it would need 91.31GB to run on an 16GB M2 MacBook Air amazes me. macOS didn’t have enough memory to even take a simple screenshot 😂 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 02/03/2026I’m at the library and the woman sitting in front of me has the donut thing in her hair bun exposed. It’s white foam under black braided hair, so it’s pretty obvious. Is it rude to point this sort of thing out when it’s behind her completely out of sight? 010

veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 28/02/2026I’ve been making a conscious effort to try and read more this year, and so far I’ve already matched last year’s quota. It’s really helped to have a physical book on my desk, and tracking my progress in a reading log has proven helpful. My goal is 12 books in 12 months—going for my third this March! 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 28/02/2026I picked up Dungeon Crawler Carl a couple weeks ago based on many recommendations I’d been receiving. I impressed myself by finishing it before bed last night, and even jumped on my library’s waitlist for the next two in the series! 010
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 21/02/2026Tried finding video footage of tsunamis on YouTube to show my kids cause we’re learning about them at home, but some 2/3 of the videos are just AI generated clips clogging up the search feed. The internet sucks now, and it’s just getting worse. 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 17/02/2026I’m halfway through the first season of The Pitt. Love, love, love this show! Why healthcare and education isn’t a larger priority for society is crazy. 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 09/02/2026Welp, I actually finished Project Hail Mary in 15 days—a month ahead of schedule! It really helped to have the physical book with me instead of on my phone, so now I’m inspired to tackle a few other titles I’ve always wanted to read. 2025-2026 is shaping up to be my comeback into reading :) 000
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 20/01/2026Caught up on the Starfleet Academy pilot episodes. While I think the premise is interesting, I wonder how the show could go on longer than two or three seasons searching for Caleb’s mom in a meaningful way. 100
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 20/01/2026Tried firing up my old iPod Shuffle over the weekend. Turns out the battery inside had a similar idea. I’m way too nervous to detach the spicy pillow in fear of causing a fire just to save the logic board 😥 RIP to a real one 000

veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 30/11/2025Ok last #Pluribus shower thought for the week: It just occurred to me that turning off the power around the world is actually related to the aqua cremation theory I had earlier. Aquamation would require lots of power to constantly heat the water required to process a nearly a billion bodies. 150
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 27/11/2025I think it could be a Soylent Green misdirect, but only because I want to believe that Vince Gilligan is smarter than spelling out the #Pluribus twist this way. Until we find out more next week my guess is the bodies are being Aqua cremated. How the milk cartons are involved is anyone’s guess. 050
veee @veeesix.bsky.social · 27/11/2025Carol tested the fake milk and it came back as a 7.1 pH. The human body has a pH of about 7 and we haven’t seen the #Pluribus bury their dead the way Carol has. We just might have a Soylent Green situation ahead of us. 000
