Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 9hWhere’s the sense in that? None that I’ve been able to make out. I’ve been doing comments all my life. For a fleeting moment they become fashionable and I get a major award. 120
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 12hI used to look at an artwork I just finished and think "Uh-oh, I think I've seen this before... Did I accidentally copy it from somewhere?" I eventually realised that yeah, I actually did. I copied it from inside my own head. It looked familiar because I'd been visualising it for days. 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 12hLate, as in the late Dentarthurdent. It’s a sort of threat, you see. 130
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 05/10/2026The main character is probably a mathive gathol. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 30/09/2026He just wanted those god damn Johnny cakes god dammit! 110
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Fans: Dune 2 was great! Denis Villeneuve: Please, it’s not Dune 2, it’s Dune PART 2! It’s the second part of my adaptation of the novel Dune! Fans: Oh, OK man. Can’t wait for your adaptation of Dune Messiah then! Denis Villeneuve: …About that... 001
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I don’t “plan” encounters so much. They tend to emerge from the circumstances at play. An encounter is a question: what happens when these opposing forces interact? In that sense, it’s not possible to “derail” them. The outcome simply answers that question and leads to a new situation. 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Easy: gelatinous cubes get high by dropping acid. 011
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Miriel, Pastor of Vows: “Heresy is not native to the world; it is but a contrivance. All things can be conjoined.” The Three Fingers: “I could NOT agree more!!!” #EldenRing 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I watched Cloverfield and thought “Ah, after 9/11, Americans truly understand kaiju movies.” 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Can someone please tell all the Americans playing Big Walk that kookaburra is pronounced like "cook", not "kook", and the burra is like if you take the "burr" from "burrow", not "burro", and put an a on the end. COOK-a-burr-a. 021
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 05/09/2026The bush is dark and peaceful once more. Goodnight, Big Walk. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I don't really do multiplayer any more, but signed up for a month of PS+ to play Big Walk. Got both endings and all the trophies. On the last day of my subscription, I walked solo around the whole island and turned out all the lights like a Dad after everyone else has gone to bed. 100
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I only watched the first three back in the day so I am kind of looking forward to finding out how they continue to find people who think “It’ll be fine, THIS time we’ll do it right!” 110
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Not a scientist, but I recently learned we got hiccups from fish-ancestors (it’s a water breathing reflex), so I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a common ancestor for sneezing among early air-breathing tetrapods. 030
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Started watching the Jurassic Park movies for the first time since they came out. Just started The Lost World and it struck me that Hammond is very much the sort of casually exploitative prick who didn’t get punched in the face often enough growing up. 110
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Actually you shouldn’t feed bread to gay sophisticates, it’s bad for their stomachs. You should feed them hors d’oeuvres instead. 0491
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Oh yeah, I can see “theme” working that way in a board game context. I probably just mis-read and thought you were talking about tabletop roleplaying games. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Ironically, I only interact with golf in the form of video games. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 30/08/2026I found one! :D Also he was technically smuggling the DNA out hidden inside the embryos. 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Oh, I thought you meant themes such as “the individual versus the group”, “can evil ever be redeemed?”, or “hope overcomes all”. I’d call your list genres and/or tropes, and I think it’s probably fine to combine any number if they are properly syncretised and not just thrown together. 110
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 28/08/2026I think a better term for the Manosphere would be the Boyosphere, partly because it would sound like they’re being jocularly mocked by the Welsh. 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 26/08/2026@dsoart.com I saw this and thought of Blemmy. 000

Closeup of Willem Dafoe in dim lighting looking up in terror at the sky, presumably from some movie I haven’t seen. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Yeeeesss. Three rows of three. Memorised them in “reverse order” because I looked at them through the back of a wire-mesh rack. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Had this on DVD, one of the few movies I watched multiple times. “You said it was clear!” “I said it LOOKED clear.” “Well how does it look now?” “… Looks clear!” 010
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 08/08/2026I had some of these! Tried painting one with green enamel model paint, but it slightly melted the plastic and NEVER dried. Sticky forever. Possibly a Toxic Avenger origin story? 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 08/08/2026If you’re asking in general, I think it depends on the individual. In my youth I enjoyed gaming the subsystems implied by crunchy mechanics, but nowadays I would rather have simple straightforward resolution mechanics. 030
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I am having flashbacks to bushwalks, the scent of dry bushland on a hot day. The swooch sound of footsteps on dry sand is just right. And this might be the first game ever with appropriate use of kookaburra calls. 100
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I had to wake up at 6 am to play with my buddies in Germany, but it was worth it. 100

Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Mind you there are actually sparrows on Ceres so maybe it keeps the bird shit out of his hair? Also in the book I think it’s described as a pork pie hat, not a trilby. 000
Craig Judson @vectorslinger.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Nobody takes it seriously. Everyone tells Miller it’s a fucking stupid Earth-lover affectation that makes no sense, but he keeps wearing it because he’s that kind of stubborn asshole. But he does actually stop wearing it after a season or two. 100
