Elettra Bargiacchi, head of the research and development working group at #VDT, delivers a lecture on movie sound design at #AUXeins 2026 in Leipzig.

Ein großer 70L-Wanderrucksack mit einer Videotasche und 50m CAT6 aussen dran, ein Kamerarucksack und ein gigantischer, schreiend pinkfarbener Rollkoffer, darauf ein Videostativ und ein weiterer Rucksack, gestapelt auf dem Bahnsteig des Düsseldorfer Hauptbahnhofs. Insgesamt sicher 80-90 kg Gepäck.

40 headphones (AKG K240 Studio) wired to a power amplifier, neatly arranged on a pallet and an aluminum roadcase for measuring and maintenance. A few unused speakon NL4 coils on the floor.

Two stacks of four five-way headphone distribution boxes (powered from a PA power amp not in the picture), connected with speakon NL4. 40 headphone cables plugged in.

A spectrogram recorded about 15m away from the source. Background chatter and an electric engine idling about 5 m to the side. Time goes upwards. An announcement begins after about one-fifth of the time. The acoustic effect is what it looks like: buried in noise, with unsatisfactory speech intelligibility. Several sections of the source are likely not working.

Ein blaues Cembalo mit Goldverzierungen auf einer Bühne in der Mischanlage der Kokerei Zollverein, gigantische Betontrichter hängen von der Decke. Es spielt Bertrand Cuiller.

Eine Totale des Aufbaus in der Mischanlage.

Ein schwarz-gold-rotes Cembalo mit "chinoiserie", exotischen Verzierungen im Geschmack des Barock, daran Jean Rondeau. Im Vordergrund die Silhouetten einiger Zuschauer*innen. Der Saal ist komplett dunkel, nur Musiker und Instrument sind erleuchtet.
