They voluntarily got to the floor during pre-syncope but it was too late and they fell back from sitting on the floor. I was telling them for me anything that comes after standing up, I do not remember when I faint lol and that yes, it's normal to feel sickly/like ass after a faint

Today, they accidentally bit their tongue hard enough to make it bleed. Now, my partner is mildly phobic of blood. They do not handle seeing it well outside of very specific circumstances. And they have been fine getting piercings so I think it's a combo of sudden pain & anxiety that does it 😬

So we've been discovering that my partner has specific vasovagal syncope - mostly pain and the anxiety pain causes. They've had syncope once or twice (incl. today) and pre-syncope a few other times. Lucky for them I have Dysautonomia so I know what to do when someone who isn't me faints lol

Except those parents and all the rest of the adults around them usually still continue to try to mold them into what was chosen for them at birth. Ironically that's the only time they support medical transitions for children. Esp if they did some of that at birth. They see it as an investment.
