Jumped to Claude and paid my own €90 only to experience CoWork. Of course, didn't get any work done 🤣

Last year I planted the hedge. I didn’t trust to hire ppl. Wild strawberries grow there, and contractors would just ruin everything. So, I removed a large layer of turf, then planted, and put back the turf (which, as I assumed, contained the wild strawberries). Soil autotransplantation. It worked!

Just got a test assignment which says “no use of AI, if you use AI, we disqualify your application”. The job description though highlighted that establishing AI-enabled workflows is one of the tasks. Thoughts, suggestions?

Family talk at breakfast today: Hubby: I went to a second-hand shop today and saw they were selling comics from year 85. Kid: Wait, what? There hasn’t even been a year 85 yet!

Tokens naming convention I follow in my projects 👇 Prefix → Category → Group → Entity → Modifier → ID (each part is optional) Examples: - ds/color/global/blue/50 - Global color palette - ds/color/concept/brand/base - Conceptual brand color - ds/input/border/focus - Component-specific state

Hey from Finland! To me what helps is to get up with light. For that, light alarm but also - smart lamps in the living room and kitchen. So that it’s bright there when I step out of the bedroom.

The Technical Assessment started and... ended right away. Note: This is even before they had a look at my CV. I never got a call from an HR, maybe the position doesn't even exist and they just forgot to take the role off the website.

$1,000,000 — that’s how much my first client earned by investing in a design system. … and that was a long time ago, the numbers have only grown since then. Do you need to prove that #designsystems worth it? I’ve got plenty of materials that can help you build a strong case and I am happy to share.

We don't record because it's more like friends meeting up rather than anything official, but it's nice to have links to all our speakers and their topics. Full archive: bridge-the-gap.dev/events

Well, there might be a “maybe” in every single case. But altogether they look quite systematic :-( I used to blame accent. Also, I cannot help thinking about the message that the government repeats all the time: it’s about you, learn Finnish, take effort, than we will accept you.

1. Work on a project with relevant challenges! Designers create token systems and themeable Figma components, developers build component libraries with React and Storybook. 2. Use a one-hour individual consultation within two months after the workshop to dive deeper into your specific questions.

var ya; @varya.me · 26/03/2025

It's been 3 years since our last workshop - our team has worked on many projects and gathered design system recipes to share with you. If you want to level up your design system, this workshop is for you! We'll help create and enhance the libraries using Figma, React, and Storybook.

Today is bad LLM day. Tried to fix a bug with Cursor via ChatGPT and Claude. No luck. Tried Deepseek, that also failed. Finally googled a one-line solution at StackOverflow. Basically, that one-line was a configuration option. Meh!

With €X in savings, how would you split it between cash (in a bank) and investments? Options: all cash, all investments, 50/50, 6 months’ salary in cash + the rest invested, 12 months’ salary in cash + investments, 3 months’ salary in cash + the rest invested. Or your suggestion?

Yep. Now ppl value handmade goods and are ready to pay for them much more. In the future, ppl will similarly value human-made content.

Look at this! The app generated this picture. My #designsystems dreams, brought to life by my app. Amazing! Before my 30-minute journey from idea to app, I struggled with UI and settings. Thanks to my friend Nikita, now I'm an expert. Wow!

There was one obstacle though. Last time, I used Claude for social media illustrations. It was convenient with its preview feature. Switching to Cursor meant losing that. But guess what? With Cursor, you can build whatever app. In just 30 minutes, I created my own AI app for illustrations.
